Congress stooping to ever lowest levels of history...
by Raman on Aug 08, 2006 10:35 PM  Permalink

What a pitiful situation congress is in? They simply made Natwar Singh a scapegoat in their lust for riches. Now, they used Justic Pathak committee to white wash the organization before the damage occurs. Its interesting to see if they are going to succeed or not. On the otherhand government failed on all fronts inside and outside the country. It looks like the final minutes have come. Its high time for UPA to show the doors.

Cong to decide on Natwar Singh
by S.Ramaswamy on Aug 08, 2006 10:31 PM  Permalink

It is typical of the Congress party. They want to take action not because Natwar Singh had done a dishonest action in the Oil for Food scam. It is taking action because he has dared to table a Privillege issue agaist the PM.And he is hobnobbing with the Opposition.Of course this will give it a good opportunity to distance itself from the scam,as suspicion about the party still lingers, despite the 'clean chit' it has managed to get from the Pathak commission. The party is trying to claim a high moral ground which going by its past record it does not deserve
The Opposition is not crowning itself with glory either. They are vieing with each other to get a tainted man like Natwar Singh into their folds.Mr Singh has brought discredit to the country. No party should entertain him.Neither him nor his son
That is the least the Opposition can do to prevent rank venality from ruling Indian politics

Party politics cannot falter, but party man does!
by George Olivera on Aug 08, 2006 09:25 PM  Permalink

Sir,
In the Party-politics individual does not matter, but Party does. As per the Pathak commision report leakage, Congress party has been exonerated, but the veteran congressman Natwar is found guilty. After all the Party is supreme beyond doubt cannot be faulted if it is exonerated! In India all the Party politics revolved under the self-same premise: Party-man does not matter, but Party matters.
