1. It explicitly creates irrational hierarchy among Indians which is against Article 14. 2. Parents covertly train their children to coerce other children as per the above hierarchies. I deplore any other religion that does this.
Cheat us once. Shame on you. Cheat us twice. Shame on us.
Enough of this for 7000 years. Our party is offering a separate state/nation to upper caste who are less than 10% of India. http://www.blogpoll.com/poll/view_Poll.php?type=java&poll_id=108166
The total cost of reservations is 16000 crores! Do GoI need to spent such a huge amount on this? I think there are many more good things to do with that money rather than disturbing these institutes which hardly benfit around 5000 OBC students per year.
These brainless politicians talking about standerds of these insitutes is like evils talking about VEDAS....
When this Quota issue started, I was sad as all my fellow indians who want an equality in educational and job oppertunities. But after reading the recommendations of the Mr. Moileys commettie,I think This Quota issue has come out as a blessing in disguise for all Indians, irrespective of forward and backward caste. The end result is an INCREASE of 54% in total seats. This should have happened a long time back. Who gets admission in these institutes is secondary. The first thing which is good is that number of seats are increased. And as the Commettie has recommended that the Institutes have to decide the admission criteria, that means there won't be any sharp fall in the quality of these institutes. Anyway, in my opinion, OBCs are already competing with forward castes in education and all other fields. The only issue should be to implement the CREAMY Layer concept and All will be well. In the end, INDIA will benefit as more oppertunities will be available due to increased seats.
Is Higher education less expensive outside India for their natives. What is the percentage of graduate students of that country getting admitted for higher education. Why other countries relax rules for migration of qualified technical people from Asia - a trend that is visible in U.S. and in Australia. Any idea whether the developed countries are free of poor and below poverty line citizen. Statistical studies would have been conducted on these. India requires a better action over the other countries present position on these matters and then reform and rework the reservation system.
This just appears a half hearted compilation on how to implement quotas, thats all, instead of being an evaluation of right methods and means to ensure fair and rightful facilities of higher education for the OBC.
I would like to propose a different approach for this. In proposed report, we are talking about a possibility of increasing the infrastructure and other facilities to accomodate the increased number of student.
Why don't we set-up altogether a independent facilities for these underprivileged fellow citizen and avail equal opportunities (?). Only one condition, all faculties should also be filled-up from reserved quota.
I am not cynical on my fellow but on our political system which want to this to exist forever in their benifit. Such disturbing factors should be eliminated from our system at the earliest.
