India is after PEACE MIRAGE with Pakistan which eludes. Buying peace with Pak at what cost? Indian Politicians have not learnt the lesson even after 59 years of "WAR & PEACE" with the neihbours.
They expel our diplomats, we expel their's on the same old grounds of suspected espionage.
But could it have been any different? Certainly not. We tried our luck with a civilian, democratically elected government in Pakistan to push the peace process forward and try to engage ourselves, but the process got highjacked midway by the Pakistani military.
Again, thinking very naively though(how else could we?), we hedged our bets with the military leader President Musharraf. See the consequences! Ups and downs----big talk from the media savvy general about naya dil and dil-dukh etc., which unfortunately could not be carried forward by India. To carry the process forward would be ignoring ground realities, as the needle of suspicion of the roots of terror within India are still unswervingly pointed toward Pakistan.
It is very difficult for a country, whose society is still feudal, where permanent democracy is still a pipe dream, where fundamentalism stalks even the mighty military generals to accept the cutting up of their nation way back in 1971 with Indian help.
Sadly, track two diplomacy notwithstanding, this psyche persists.
I dont understand our India politicians...why the hell they want to extend hand of friendship to a country danger than a snake....how many bad experiences does it take for our people to learn that country's bitter enemity to India....The only reason why our country wants friendship is to reduce terrorism..other than that we dont have any gains from that country. Just pound those places where terrorists are trained just like Israel and stay away from that country. These pakis will never understand Indian kindness and always looks for a chance to attack. A Paki friend of mine once said that the only way a politician can win in Pakistan is to talk bitter words about India. I hope our leaders will understand and behave better...Tired of hearing betrayals from our beloved god given enemy.
suspension of the diplomats will not ease the tension between the two countries. both of them in a cat n dog race are trying to prove their worth.i am seriously woried about the future of my country.the soloution lies well within the governments itself.
If Kaul is not found guilty of the charge, India should seriously consider severing all diplomatic ties with Pakistan and declare Pakistan as the country-non-grata and wage an all out war against terrorism by hitting the terrorist training camps in Pakistan and do whatever is necessary, including building world opinion, to dislodge this army rule and help people of Pakistan to return to DEMOCRACY. I am confident that India will get support from nearly all civilian ruled countries including USA.We as citizens of India find nothing wrong and have no animosity with the common people of Pakistan
We are bloody loosers that we run after developing "friendly" relations with the islamic terrorist state of pakistan. What good can happen to our country by maintaining diplomatic relations with this terrorist state is beyond any sane evaluation of the same. 80% of pakistani resources is spent on defence and promoting islamic terror worldwide. It is a poor country which would be starved to death but for petro dollars and uncle sam's generosity by way of food and monetary aid. It is a one way friendship with this country with only pakistan deriving the benefit of exporting islamic terrorists into this country through rail and road apart from the clandestine routes of bangladesh and Nepal. We get nothing in return.We do not even have the courage to carry out terrorist attacks on pakistani soil. At least that many pakistanis killed are this many wounded due to bomb blasts engineered by Indian intelligence agencies would give us some amount of satisfaction by way of revenge. Even that is not to be because of the vote bank politics of pro-jihadi secularism practiced by Indian rulers.Short of snapping diplomatic relations with this barbarous country,nothing else can ever be satisfactory.
It is highly deplorable and provoking to read that our high ranking embassy staffer, Mr Deepak Kaul had been insulted in the most henious method by Pakistan as he was handcuffed, blindfolded and arrested for no reason. Really Indian UPA Government dictated by conversionist Sonia Gandhi and led by puppet Manmohan Singh and filled by pseudo-secular ministers (who are mainly interested in kursees) do not have backbone to give tough replies to Pakistan. Why can't they think of Israeli model attitude. It is a real shame. For what they are waiting for despite Kashmir mass killings, Mumbai train blasts, temple attacks, Delhi blasts, etc. I think UPA Government will realise when these Paki terrorists ignite our Parliament with RDX to take the lives of our boot licker ministers of proxy PM.
When pak cant do anything its expected from them, better we close our Embassy there, dont know why we entertain Pak again and again, MFN status all these things with pak we dotn need, totally untrusted country.
Hats off to the cunning brains running Pakistan. They just are adept at making our adminstrators dance to their tune literally. Look what they did, they anticipated that looking at the revelations that the investigations are leading to, they just played this trick. Now if India takes any action against anybody with regards to Pakistan here, they will say India has taken this measure as a retaliatory measure due to cover up the mistakes committed by its representatives in Pakistan. There is a saying in Hindi that you all must be familiar with "Ulta chor kotwal ko dante." It is not the same here. Anyway all these years of slack handling has created this situation for us. At least now the people sitting in the high offices should bring some "chanankyas" into the administration who could anticipate and act prior to any cunning reactions from the counterparts across the border.
