It will be sui cidal for Sri lanka to expect india to do anything in its problem with the LTTE. the rason is that india has its own terrorists problems and is incapable of handling it, simply for the reaosn that it does not have a strong governemtn and the government is run by an opportunist alliance. Particularly now that inidan government os haeavily dependent on the parochial parties of tamil nadu which have clsose realtions with the LTTE and which are even under an aura cloud in regard to the heinous crimes that the LTTE perperated in our soil, it will never be good either for this country or to Sri lanka to involve the inidanGovernment in their problem with the LTTe. the LTTE will certainly use the opportunity to gain a foot hold in Inidan soil to the detriment of sri lannka and the Inidan governemtn would not be able to do anything good to solve the problem. We can not rely on our politicians who would be out to sell our own land for their personal ends, There will be more muders by the LTTE. nothing in the world would change its character. The lankan Tamils should act against the murderous LTTE terrrorists . They should seek the aid of US to eliminate LTTE.

This article not only narrates the pains of Tamils in Srilanka and also shows the brutal killing of tamils by stupid srilankan army with the support of srilankan government. If LTTE is Terror organisation.... so the srilankan government. what LTTE is doing in srilanka is nothing but preventing their people(tamils) from the terrorists(srilankan gov). Even though i am not a supporter of LTTE. Hi Mr Raja, I think you don't know anything about Srilankan tamil struggles and LTTE, don't comment false things The tamil struggle started almost 50 years ago..Ealam Thanthai SELVA started Ahimsa struggle agains the Coward Srilankan Buddhist Chavanist, LTTE only existed in 1978. All the teenager women joined the LTTE otherwise they would have either raped by SLA or IPKF, Do you know how many of the Kadal Puligal (all girls) were victim of both the Militeries What is other tamil moderate groupd EPRLF EPDP doing licking Srilankan toes and enjoying a life style Before writing the read the facts if you don't know keep shut, you are tamil enemy

Dear Tamilian, You should be deported to the middle of triconamalee immediately. it is people like you which makes me a tamilian ashamed of being one. if a tamilian should morally support another even if he is killing humans on the basis of separatist feelings, then pakistan is justified what they are doing in kashmir.. you and your tribe should be tried for treason. Will u support ltte if they rape your sister and kill your parents in front of you. Pls understand you are few and if you continue taking this view soon you will perish. World does not need bigotted ill advised people like you. Thank god the majority of tamilians are your enemies.
While I sympathise with the writer, this is inherently a Sri Lankan problem. If they dont deal with it, no amount of external influence will ever bring about a lasting solution to SL. So far as India is concerned, the only solution is to clip the tigers wings(sic) by rooting out their network in India and places like the UK and Canada where the LTTE ganga routinely collect "hafta" from the ethnic Tamil community. Throttle the finances and then bring these terrorists to the negotiating table.. preferably on their knees. Last but not the least, we have to go after the LTTE leadership and make them pay for each Indian life that has been lost to LTTE bullets / bombs (Including and not limited to Rajiv Gandhi).

Being an indian tamil married to a Srilankan Tamil..I was in dark about the true plight of Tamils in Srilanka for the most of my youth. My husband had to educate me..i was really ashamed that i didn't know what was happening to our fellow tamilians just few hundered km down the line... Let this article be an eye opener for the journalist in INDIA and SL. why the government doesn't allow journalist to visit the tamil villages is another question to be answered............
ponder and ask on things before anyone makes any uniformed decisions about tamils or the rebels....
Nothing in this world can change the fact that LTTE killed one of our former PMs and there is no way any indian be it of any political affliation can forgive LTTE for it. There can be no pardon for such an organisation whatever "noble cause" it represents. As for IPKF or for that matter the Indian army, it is the most professional army so please stop raising fingers at it. Its time that we as Indians ENSURE that our neighbours treat us with respect. They cannot expect our help and at the same time keep cursing us and blaming us.

Yes we accept it was suppose to be a professional army in reality they weren't killed innocent people can't withstand aginst the bravery Tamil Tiger, You all very much prouded Indians can't accept the truth your so called Prestigeous Indian Military tasted her second defeat after China( This is accepted by one of your so called professional commander of IPKF) IF in doubt read his exclusive interview in Rediff.com Baseline is IPKF commited war crime, if you guy accuse Prabakaran commited crime by killing so called Rajiv, then all the IPKF Jawans and Commander should surrend in International Court they should be punished, you guys can't point the finger on Prabakaran alone, Rajiv is a failed Prime Minster of India, we was smart in Bofors smuggle than any other thing, all Indians should feel ashamed to have him as Prime Minister.. What India did when our PM was attacked by a JVP Soldier on the Parade, did we asked the soldier to be surrender have prosuceted???? NO, he was given Promotion for his action?? that is Srilanka, now joined hands with Pakistan Military to tackle tigers.... But Tigers are capable of defending any Military power in the world, because they are tamils...
This is right time india should emulate the formula like independant automomy to tamil people without harming the integrity of srilanka.If india does not act in time there are chances that either pakistan or china or US may intervene in this conflict which will turn against india security.In the past srilanka played cleverly and trapped india without assuring anything only to crush LTTE to use our fellow army men to finish LTTE and later on they joined with LTTE to send IPKF off from their territory.India should not give any military aid to srilanka unless they are serious about solving the problem with mutual benifit of tamil and singalese and muslims.

This is a political problem and Sri Lankan administration needs to show acceptance to some package, like federal model in India or something else. Till that time India will not jump into mess, with no end in sight.
Right now Sri Lankan president seem to be hardliner and try to more rely on military. He has to see that all aspiration of its people are met politically .
