oh god, please help the tamilians who are dieing everyday....they are very innocent...we are very happy over here but so many people over there are crying...please god..please bring this to the end...
I feel India shud just turn a deaf ear to what these fellows say and concentrate on its own development. If in SriLanka the Sinhalese kill the Tamils and the Tamils retaliate, it is their own internal issue. Why should we interfere in it. Its all politics. Some day in the future the warring parties will become friends and start questioning us. The biggest mistake we did was to send the IPKF. Not again. We've got enough problems in India to be taken care of. We shall not help either side humanitarian or not.Nothing at all. We've got our own lives to live.

I think Yogendran should have a sinahelese mix or connectiion, Prablakaran is the one only tamil leader who safeguards tamils future particualaryly in south east of srilanka. The author had a lot praise for Indian politicians and Rajiv Gandhi, one the brainless Politician in the world got into the trap of Jayawardena and lost many brave soldiers and cost his own life, Let me tell one thing clearly tigers are freedom fighters, if you call them terrorist (who kills innocent civilians) then all Indians are terrorist IPKF killed lot of innocent civilians particularly Doctors and Nurses in Jaffna Hospital how do you account that, people always points out LTTE for killing someone why?? because the Brahmin contralloed indian media knows how good LTTE are and what they capable off, finally what you guys going to say about SLA killed innocent 61 teenage school girls, they are worst crimian terrorist in the world. Tigers are the brave soldiers ever the world had that is the realistic truth which world will acknowldge, even me being a Indian will be more proud to live in Eelam ruled by mighty Prabakaran then living in the brutal minded Brahmin society

So what is this guy saying? Another IPKF to be sent...by the mature bigger brother? And then they will judge them and spit on them and ask them back. Are'nt we going on cycle? And by the way, which Army on earth did not take candies...name one...!!!!Ofcourse I agree with him that the Sri Lankan president should come out with a plan, a plan that is sincere and a plan that is likely to work given the long history. For India, well, how about solving some internal problems like: 1. Naxalites 2. Internal security to prevent another blasts in our trains 3. Economy 4. "piece" process with Pakistan 5. Non-nuclear, non-fossil energy 6. Regulate the garbage coming from China 7. Improve domestic industries to create employment 8. Providing skills to the large unemployed population. 9. 6th Pay commission and implementation of the 5th one. 10. Corruption in the public life 11. My God many many more....
Even if Government spends time on any 3 of the above issues...they won't have time to think of that island...what's the name...ah yes...Sri Lanka...not Ceylon...:-))

No need of Indian force to be sent to safe guard lLankan Tamils. What we ask is only to keep your Navy for your use.Second gives Two bombers and ammunition,Take the assurance from LTTE, not to use it against India. LTTE will win the war if others don't help SRI LANKA. Even if Pakistan help SLGovt,LTTE can take them. They need ammunition, Please india give them thje sophisticated one. Indian Tamil nadu has plenty of heartless beasts. So it is the god who will take care of these beasts.
That is the only long term solution to both the Tamil and Sinhali separatisms.
It was disgraceful that the IPKF which consisted of numerous Tamil soldiers including some that lost their lives was boycotted by the anti national politician muthuvelu karunanidi.
IPKF went to help Srilanka. They deserved respect. India should push for a union with Srilanka. During the British rule, Srilanka was ruled from Madras Presidency. It is time to return to the mutual privilege.
IPKF behaved impeccably as was attested by all parties involved except LTTE. IPKF presence was emboldening the democratic elements in the Srilankan tamil community which was abhorrent to LTTE leadership and one fine day, they asked a patrol of IPKF to tea. drugged them, and then put burning tyres of five personnel and roasted them alive. Most likely the LTTE leadership had a barbecue afterwards to celebrate, meat was already available.
When IPKF commander sent his deputy in helicopter to talk to the LTTE leadership about this, his copter was fired upon, the bullets passing between pilot and general. The troop company near to where the LTTE leadership was lead by Major J. Singh (cousin to Indian minister K Natwar Singh, now foreign minister), it was ambushed, and soldiers tortured, mutilated, and murdered to death most brutally. These were not 5 or 6 but 30 soldiers! IPKF was left no choice by LTTE but to respond with force. Sri lankan tamils had a great opportunity with IPKF, they themselves a La Kalidas cut their own feet off. Whatever the Sinhalese govt. now does is of no concern to Indians. We have had too much blood spilt by so called brothers across the palk straits
The author writes that Sri Lankans look upto the leaders India produces. I would just like to tell those Sri Lankans: What the hell is wrong with you? Please pray that your country does not produce corrupt politicians as India seems to churn out daily.
Its a well balanced article. SL tamils don't have another option left other than armed struggle. If not they would had been wiped out. Innocent tamils are slaughtered by the sinhalese. Sinhalese are not only anti-tamil but also anti-hindu . They not only kill tamils but destroyed all the hindu temples.
No way INdia can pardon LTTE. BUt at the same time no use in talking the past. But for the innocent people it should help to create a seperate state for tamils within the same country with proper autonomy. INdia must understand that eventhough Tamilnadu people doesn't support LTTE , they have big sympathy for innocent Eelam tamil people.
