Barbarous Act
by Siraj Rizvi on Apr 30, 2006 10:48 PM  Permalink

As an Indian and a muslim, would like to condemn the killing of Mr.Suryanayana by the so called fundamentalist Taliban.

No amount of sympathy, compensation and assurances will comfort the family. What they have lost is priceless. For Talibans killing innocent people has become fun.
Would like to request Rediff.com to sponsor one of Mr.Suryanarayna's children for higher studies and request all my Indian brothers and siters to donate.
My personal condolences and prayers are with his family.
Siraj Rizvi

Yellow journalism!!
by John on Apr 30, 2006 10:48 PM  Permalink

This is yellow journalism by Rediff, showing the grief of the family repeatedly in different photos across articles. Is it necessary that your reporters enter their home and take pictures in their devastating moment of grief?? Isnt it unethical.. intruding their privacy when they have no solace???

Killing of Suryanarayana in Afghanistan
by Farid Siddiqui on Apr 30, 2006 10:14 PM  Permalink

My heart goes out to the family of Suryanarayana who has been murdered by the Taliban. May God give the aggrieved family strentgh to bear the loss. I do not understand what Taliban stands to gain by murdering innocent civilians. Most cowardly and reprehensible act.

taliban and islamic terrorism
by Dr Ritesh shinha on Apr 30, 2006 09:41 PM  Permalink

thats ENOUGH!
We can not tolerate more.this is high time now.Indian govt should show now that it is not just a promise making body, rather it can DO also something to prevent future any similar happening.these incidents give a boostup to other islamic terrosist organisations.
If indian govt is of any worth they should react aggresively, not verbally(as they often do)but they should now think of military action in india as well as outside if they think they have some moral left.STOP showing tears and DO something....
