It is difficult to understand the gravity of a situation without knowing at least partially how complex a medical investigation would be. I don't blame you for a 'dumb' message.
Mr Mahajan is currently not breathing on his own, he is on a mechanical ventilator. A mechanical ventilator is a complex machine to handle for some one who is not trained to use it (to experience how critical it would be, hold your breath for at least 120 seconds!). CT scan is not a bedside investigation; for this a patient needs to be transported to the suite/ room where the scanner is located, and with portable mech. ventilator (which can only work for a few minutes to hours, depending on the battery) continuously pumping air/oxygen to the patient. Although it is a small task, it needs the presence of a Respiratory technician to handle the problems during the transport to and fro. It also needs a nurse/doctor to continuously keep a watch on vital parameters, since he is on medications to keep his BP optimum (which if not monitored, can be dangerous). Considering these things, CT scan for Mr Mahajan, in this condition is something special, hence a news.
This is one of the dumbest headlines I have read. It is not as if he went thru some heroic surgery!!! He just has a CT scan and that in the headlines!!!!!!!! What next Rediff - Mahajan undergoes Urine Analysis???? Kudos!!

Totally agree Balaji. It is not that he got injured during a war, but his current situation is due to his petty politics with his brother. People like Mahajan can't stop playing politics in their homes too!! It is so irritating to see that his every breath is making headlines.

Whats dumb in the headline. I look athe news to find updates on his health and prognosis. You are welcome not to read. The headline reflects exactly whats in the article. Does not have to be heroic. Don't people read stuff that is ridiculous. At least this is about someone we know.
