Are we a democracy? Doesn't appear like so...
by Ram on Apr 13, 2006 11:49 AM  Permalink

Why don't these politicians let people choose their own choices?

Banning dance bars goes beyond absurd.

Do we still have the "Freedom of Expression"? Are we still a democracy?

who cares!!
by marzaan on Apr 13, 2006 11:47 AM  Permalink

I think there are more serious issues which needs to banned, Illicit liquor, The MATKA Dens, Ladies massage parlours, and many more. The government says that such performance in an indecent manner is derogatory to the dignity of women and is likely to deprave, corrupt or injure the public morality or morals." how Funny !!!
what are they talking about, the women are burnt alive, they are being raped.. why dont they look into these problems... why dont they think about something which will increase the literacy rate !!

Should dance bar be allowed
by Sujay Bhattacharyya on Apr 13, 2006 11:47 AM  Permalink

First how such a decision comes from honorable court to allow such an act in the society. Can't govt have some responsibilty to do something for those poor girls who are forced to enter in this trade. It is really surprising even after 59 years of independence such act has been supported by a section of the society also government as well.

Dance Bars should not be allowed.
by Pravin Kamble on Apr 13, 2006 11:43 AM  Permalink

As per my thinking dance bars should not be allowed. At the same, government have to take action againstladies service bars too. Fact is that, though ladies working in the bar gets money for her living but costs too much to her. No one comes here with her own wish.Especially in Maharastra more than 80-90% bargirls are from West Bangal and from eastern states. They are either deceived or manipulated. At the same some girls earns more than one lakh ruppees for a month then by this what example we want to set for Society. A girls with no eduacation shows some sexuallity in front of people in Bar and eans lakhs and other who studies hard and hardly can make Rs.15000 a month.

Most importantly, peoples sends too much money in bars all these are corrupt peoples, or highly salaried people from softwares and other areas they spends money in bar like anything and on other side they try to evade taxes ....

In short, I want to say that if Govt. unable to ban bars because of decision of the Court ordinary people have to come on the street against the decision of Court because we dont want to corrupt our youth and counrty ..........
