Dance Bars, Mumbai
by Sanjeev Jain on Apr 13, 2006 09:36 AM  Permalink

They should be allowed to continue their profession. It is the individual who has to decide whats wrong and whats write for them.If not, then we should also ban should individuals from voting who do not have brain to decide what is good for country. I feel in this era, the views of govt. are not the real views which politicains claims as they said they are the representative of the peoples. Let them go back and see what is vote % for the constituency and what is their ratio. We in Indis should adopt the method of referendum for issues which effects India ( its growth and safety )

Should dance bars be allowed?
by asokan on Apr 13, 2006 09:30 AM  Permalink

Yes. The dance bars should be allowed. If we allow this culture policeing of the govenment, they will go on imposing new rules and regulations in our every day life. Like wearing jeans, T shirts, skirts etc. Then they decide the length of your hair, mustache, beard etc. Then the kind of movie you watch on screen and TV etc. The list is endless. If one cant do what he wants then what is the use of freedom and democracy. I feel tobacco, alcohol, lottery, corruption, red tape.. these are dangerous. Today who is voicing for population growth, unemployment, sanitation, increase in education cost... ?

Dance bar should be ban?
by vadiraj on Apr 13, 2006 09:17 AM  Permalink

it is very uncommon thought to ban the dance bars i strongly condem this view because,
the nobody force to go to their and watch the dance.
because we are indepenedent we have right enjoy life without disturbing anybody
This concept comes from the mythological ages.
This is human beings passion it is not abnormal.
so the dance bars should not be banned.

Why not?
by sindhuja on Apr 13, 2006 09:11 AM  Permalink

We anyways have lakhs of unemployed and poorly employed grads and undergrads, who are struggling to make ends meet. To top it all the only source of employement from these young ladies of rural india has been scrapped off!! What is the harm if they get some amount of cash from Cash rich corrupted govt officials (who generally make rounds of dance bars)and fat and ugly and perverted scamsters? Let them be!
Let them live and keep their kitchen fires burning!

Dance bars

From time immemorial world over this kind of amusement was prevelent and regarded with high esteem. Even in mythological stories dancers like MENAKA, RAMBHA and many others played their part.
Present day moralists look at this profession from their own way of looking sans the morality.

THE GREAT INDIAN CULTURE
by Amit Nandedkar on Apr 13, 2006 08:52 AM  Permalink

We the Indians for decades now have been living in a totally artificial world far away from ground realities."We feel proud of our culture" please people who appose the dance bars explain what culture is??Is it what is written in the books or is it what people like you speak in public or is what actually a normal common man behaves in a public place.

Why do we want to end up being a sex starved society.Be liberal.Create an atmosphere wher every thing is open & people can accept & look at things with a open mind. Its far better to be like this rather than having a restrictive atmosphere & a damn polluted mond which would show its true colours when left alone.

I have been to these Dance bars at least 5 to 6 times & never ever have i seen any body misbehaving with any girl.People just sit & relax & enjoy the dance & may be fantasize a bit.Whats wrong in that.& if this is wrong then our Bollywood is far more obscene than the dance bars.Ban that too.

I wonder with so many issues like Water , Food , Shelter , Employment why this gentle man is after the dnace bars.Man give food & water & shelter & job to your people first.Do the better & more needed things in life first........

We need to find a solution
by Ram Sarma Konduri on Apr 13, 2006 08:46 AM  Permalink

Dear Manjeet Singh Sethi,

I have a solution to the problem, Government never worked on a alternative solution before imposing ban. It has to be a gradual change.

I agree to Mr Arun Mehta comments but just banning can never bring in a change to the system.

Mr Manjeet Singh Sethi if you are open with suggestions for really rehabilitate solution, you can contact me +91.9848089344.

DANCE BARS
by PRAMOD GOYAL on Apr 13, 2006 08:23 AM  Permalink

Dance bars should be allowed. Only adults go there and it is only dance they are watching. It is not a brothel. On TV Channels and in cinemas we see a lot more vulgarity or say only vulgarity.Off course I have never been to a dance bar but if Bars are legalised and registered, then this is absolutely not a problem.
