Banning of dance bars
by Raghavendra Rao on Apr 13, 2006 10:08 AM  Permalink

Dear Sir,
While these dance bars are treated as a social stigma by a majority of the people, I dont see any reason why these should be banned.I am of the contention that these would provide some sort of relaxation and outlet to frustrations. provided they are utilised in the right sense. And just think of the jbos provided to so many people who would have resorted to other sources of income due to frustrations.
It is really funny to see that when Big hotels continue to host dances for the elite class how such a ban could be justified.
Three cheers
RAGHU

Bar Girls
by Ashwin on Apr 13, 2006 09:57 AM  Permalink

Yes,

they should be allowed...I am an NRI in the states and I believe everything should be legalized and that Givt should tax it and earn revenues...If free prostitution is allowed atleast we wont have rape cases in Delhi...
Look @ Sweden it has the lowest number of sex related crimes in the world coz everything is legalized...the givt earns a ton of money by taxing even sex workers.....

People like RR Patil should be put behind bars....just for a few votes he becomes a Moral Police officer when then are more pressing issues to consider....

Dance Bars
by vasudev on Apr 13, 2006 09:56 AM  Permalink

When Governor of Maharashtra Shri S.M.Krishna
delayed signing of the ordinance, people commented
that he is partial to the dance bar owners since most of them are hailing from Karnataka. But these lot
forget to realise that Shri S.M.Krishna was Professor of International Law four decades ago at Bangalore, before he entered the politics. He was
an LLM in international law from an american university. He knew pretty well that this ordinance will not stand, since legally there is no ground to bar the dancing in bars.

should dance bars be allowed?
by ram on Apr 13, 2006 09:54 AM  Permalink

Of course, dance bars should be allowed. So should casinos, discos, sale of beer in kiranas and supermarkets, lotteries, horse racing, legalised gambling, prostitution etc. All these have an offshoot in the cascading effect on the economy. Proper legal status, redressal systems, medical check ups for dance girls and prostitutes etc. should be in place. Fashion shows, beauty paegaents, porn movies etc. should also be allowed.
