by Ved Parashar on Apr 13, 2006 10:43 AM  Permalink

Dance Bars is nothing but a making easy money. People is not having interest in the poor girls jobs but this is a business who make many politicians, policewalas and the bar owners rich. Many poor girls from the remote areas of India kidnapped daily and sold to the bar owners. A honest person R.R. Patil move ahead to stop this but nobody helped him out.

should dance bars be allowed
by Rajdeepdas on Apr 13, 2006 10:42 AM  Permalink

According to me dance bar should open immediatly. As per humen right no body have the right to stop or ban others income source untill & unless it harm society. As we are in 2000 century we have to change our thoughts. It's not a crime, people used to enjoy the dance and drink. That's all.

I cann't understand why the hell the maharastra govt have problem in dance bar, when their are so many red light areas in mumbai. They should ban the red light area other then dance bar.

Yes, as long as minors aren't allowed in
by Vir S on Apr 13, 2006 10:41 AM  Permalink

If we're talking about adults, they can be given the responsibility to make the right call to fit their moral or cultural code. I obviously don't condone any activities in these bars that are illegal, but I don't think that banning all dance bars is the answer.

If you don't like them, don't go ! Don't impose your morals or opinion of national culture on others. There's obviously a market for this, and as long as it's legal, there should be no problem. Should we try and ban all bars as well, or is drinking not sufficiently corrupting our country's youth? I'm not sure why politicians feel like they're the moral police of their country.... they're not morally corrupt, just plain old corrupt !

Should dance bars be allowed
by Yazdi on Apr 13, 2006 10:39 AM  Permalink

Yes definately ! No one has the right to deprive one's livelihood and liberty of life. If something wrong is done, than Police/Govt has got the right to punish the guilty. What is culture...does Politician themselves have their respect & culture. They themselves arrange for the dance bars to perform at private parties and demand for favours in return. Bar Owner's Association should claim compensation for the loss incurred to Bar Girls & the Bar Owners.

Yes,they should be allowed.Mumbai is a metropolitan City, meant for the world and the Global citizen.Nobody is forcing these people to come into the bars.If these fanatics dont want to visit the bars, they should not think that other people should not be allowed.India is a free country, and really if we want to project a global outlook, this is not the way to deal with things like these.

Dance bar can be allowed. But it shuld not be allowed as a pick up place for prostitutin and immoral trafic. More over the media can do some investigation on thesse asppects. Indian youg must not be spoiled by these bar. This does not mean moral policing only to keep the rich indian culture intact

Should dance bars be allowed?
by H.O.Chawla on Apr 13, 2006 10:33 AM  Permalink

In India, every powerful person, be a politician or religious leader, wants to impose his views on other persons. He tries to prune the scenerio around him to suit his so called ideals, fantacies and perceptions, without thinking for a moment as to what effect his actions would have on other people. The ban on dance bars had made thousands of bar girls jobless and some of them might have been forced to do menial tasks. High Court has done well to declare the ban illegal, which would enable the dance bar girls to puruse their profession honourably.

dance bar should not be allowed
by radhaspeak on Apr 13, 2006 10:27 AM  Permalink

dance bar should not be allowed because it breaking homes, ruin moral values, destroying lives and social image of women. Bargirls style of dancing is cheap and its keeping men away from their family and unnecessary wastage of money that could be use on family.
