Dance Bars
by T R Balakrishnan on Apr 13, 2006 10:55 AM  Permalink

Of Course Dance Bars should function as it was before. If RRP feels that it corrupting the Morale, then why not clpse the Red Light Sreas which are the breeding grounds of sicknesses and also degenerates and afflicts the youth & young generation of the day.
this can affect the entire civilisation whereas Dance Bars affect only a few in comparison. True that these are blemishes of the society but nevertheless they are the necessary evils which a society must learn to cope up with and live a life of mutual survivals.

As for the the other angle of Corruption or Extortion as claimed by the "Bar Operators",the court can very well order an enquiry to go to the bottom of this episode.

The society must learn to live a life of tolerence and must get rid of the parochial views of few.

Dawn of Western Culture in India.
by Philip on Apr 13, 2006 10:52 AM  Permalink

The first thing to be asked is "Is that our culture". Being travelled few places around the world I am one of the proud Indian to see people talk about good things of Indian Culture.

All the world want to join our culture for its purity serenity and spirituality now we are falling in the trap of western culture. Does dance in the bars is going to improve our culture?

Most of the countries are respecting us on our development purely on intellectual basis and not on this type of stuff. We dont want people to say "If you need to enjoy in Bars go to India" and we dont need that popularity.

For the selfishness of some people please do not spoil the culture of India.

There should be absolute shut down of bars
by Sush on Apr 13, 2006 10:50 AM  Permalink

Dancing in a disco theque is completely different from dancing in bars. These are places where somebody is provoked to spend money unnecesarily as rightly said where prety firls meet rich fools. The place becomes the breeding ground of upcoming criminals, where some innocent 16 year old guy may have gone just by compulsion from his friends to have a one shot feel of the outside world. Its also not that only rich people visit these places, even people fight with their family, steal from their own houses, hit there parents to have money to spend in those places and pretend rich. Its not something that our people will take sportively for entertainment, they will get too much involved in it, spoil their lives and enter criminal and lawful activities that are closely associated with dance bars..And once the ban is lifted , it will impossible to impose it again in the future if required, so the SC should take a sensible decision..
