Yes. Why deprive their daily earnings? when prostitution can run publically why not dance. In fact dancing is better than pros.

Bar Girls

NO!,

Views of Maharashtra Govt and logic seem to be very rational, apt and need of hour. I have seen persons ruined. It is nothing but a shameless, antisocial act.

High Coart seem to have removed Ban on technical grounds. But is it at cost of Morality?

Dance bars should not be allowed
by Bharati Patwardhan on Apr 13, 2006 11:34 AM  Permalink

Dance bars should not be allowed since woman has dignity and she should not be looked down upon as a piece of entertainment. Woman working in dance bars do not have status, though they may be earning well. I feel that the woman working in dance bars should give up the job and start afresh by doing someother jobs which gives them status and dignity.

Dance bars should be allowed to function.
Bueraucrats , politicians ,industrialists can enjoy semi nude performances of Belly dancers in five star hotels and 98%sking shows in the name of fashion week bla bla bla, than why to deprive common person from some entertainment.
At least bar girls dresses are better than the dresses wear by fashion models, ballet danceras oy by girls who are almost nacked, showing their anatomy in pubs & discotheques.

Rich peole can do an thing for fun but poor bar girls cant do to earn their liveli hood.
This is very bad and shame on these hypocrate politician.

SDBZ - Special Dance Bar Zones
by RD on Apr 13, 2006 11:27 AM  Permalink

Restrict such activities to specific areas. Dance bars may be allowed, but they should not be allowed to crop just about anywhere. In fact, the Govt would be benefitted if they are managed only in a certain area.

For instance, pick a place outside Mumbai, away for any town, but accessible by transportation. Create a Las Vegas there.

I know it will harbour several vices - drinking, prostitution, gambling ... but if it is made legal for that special zone, people wouldn't do it in the residential area where you and i live.

Dance bars of mumbai should be banned because we are indain, we are a spritual leader of the world. india is a holy land of incarnation of God's. india is gerat because of culture. we should not spoil our culture for money as well as for enjoyment. we should nor sell our culture for money. Just think, Dance girls are earning very nice money as compare to govt. employee, but are they satisy with their life? answer is no. their parents are happy. answer is no. are they enjoying their life. answer is no. then why should not dance bars banned. dance girls are not safe, bars are not safe, the area where bars are situated are not safe, then why should not banned?
