In the time of judiciary (especially Supreme Court) taking lead in making india a better place, bombay high court has just gone the wrong way. This is really disappointing.Maharastra government should go to Supreme Court and nullify this judgment.Once done so they should also investigate the circumstances under which this decision was taken by these particular judges. With history of corruption in judiciary we cannot rule out the possibility in this case.
do not know how much was paid to Home Minister Patil??. The learned judges have failed miserably to uphold the values and culture of our land. The so called regulations will be followed for a short time, to be flouted soon. The nexus between the bar owners and the police is bound to become closer and stronger. The issue before us is not the question of livelihood of these artistes, but exposing the present and future generations to these social evils, thereby causing further decay, degeneration and degradation of our society. Youngsters are following western culture blindly without realising its impact on our society. Obscenity, whether we like it or not, have become part of our lives with the advent of TV and internet. Fashin shows, Discos, live bands, cabaret, bboze shops mushrooming everywhere have become so common and people have forgotten their culture. It is time that Govt takes a serious note of this and takes preventive measures,. No doubt, in a democracy everybody is free to express or profess whatever he or she likes but in matters affecting the whole society this freedom cannot be unrestricted. Soon prostituion will surface on Mumbai streetsFor the sake of individual
Thank God, the judiciary has not yet been infiltrated and corrupted by bumbling fools like politicians. Show me a single thing done by State-netas, which can't be classified as knee-jerk reaction, political posturing or appeasement? What the State Govt did (for reasons unknown) is almost akin to Talibanisation. Maharashtra is a progressive, enterprising, developing state. The last thing we need is babus & cronies, telling women what they should or shouldn't be doing, as long as it's constitutional. Prostitution and underworld meetings also take place in 5-star hotels. Is that reason enough to shut them down? Moral Police !! What next? Burqa??
Its a welcome decision which has slapped our DCM R.R.P. right on his face. He wasted his powers to get popularity on useless issue. He should have looked after needs of Maharashtra in stead. We are facing acute problems of electricity, farmers are suiciding. What did he do ? Nothing ! In fact he can't do anything. He is just luring people into useless issues.
Judiciary has always taken a BOLD & CORRECT DECISIONSin many wrangled issues. These one is the perfect deciasion taken by the BOMBAY HIGH COURT. Practically everyone is aware that these Dance Bars are owned by SHETTY's, then by Prominent Police Officers and the rest 30% are owned by Sardarjis or Sindhis. Bar owners association were being harrased because of their POLITICAL Background, & put behind bars to gain their vendetta as they did not agree to the terms and conditions of the PRESENT CONGRESS GOVERNMENT. Even a lay men in the street is well aware to which extent can our present political leaders can stoop down. Recently, the POLICE was forced to enter these BARS and conduct BOGUS RAIDS and arrest these girls and customers sao that they can create FEAR & TERROR in the minds of people who come for some time pass or LEUISURE. MINISTERS who do not have to spend a PENNY from their POCKETS for day to day living, were not ready to accept the difficulties faced by thousands of people attached to these PROFESSION. A couple of days back a Bargirl was murdered by her husband because she did not earn money, many of them have even left for unknown places to earn their livings.ACCEPT DEFEAT.
Seems to be good for thoes who earned their bread & butter on this profession. There is nothing wrong in women serving the drinks & dancing in front of men. Only thing wrong that it must be guided by LAW. Nowadays I've heard that several girls turned to Call Girls when Maharashtra Government Banned the Dance Bar and stopped these girls performing on Dance Floor. I do agree that some Bars were running dirty business under same roof. But I found several cases where a Law Protector is also involved. One can not blame Police, Dance Bar Girls, public who enters such type of Bar or Bar Owner. It's all part of our so called System.
Hope that several Call Girls will again turned back to their old profession. There is nothing wrong in this profession. Some female dancers performs on the stage & earned Crores of Rupees from Government under the name of Entertaining the people & representing India. Don't you think that this also must be banned.
HC's decision to withdraw the ban on Dance Bar is good one. Just keep good watch on Criminal activities on these Dance Bars to avoide the increase of Crime.
