I agree with you.

Dear Firdous,

I agree with you that there is such discriminations against muslims. The thinking about sikhs is different and perhaps this is also because different from sikhs, muslims are being linked to terrorism, jehad and other anti-national things.I dont know whether media is responsible for this or not but surely muslims should also try to accept this. The same thing happens in muslim dominated areas also. Why there are frequent riots in cities which are muslim rich like Aligarh, meerut etc.

There is need to actively participate in all activities and be far away from all unnecessary differentiating things.

Why I won't live among Hindus / Muslims
by Ashutosh on Apr 11, 2006 11:56 AM  Permalink

My dear friend Firdaus has pointed out a very important point which is dividing our nation.

Though he has only looked from the - "MUSLIM ANGLE"

Being a Hindu - today i cannot dare walk the streets in some parts of Mumbai - do i need to tell all such areas??

I cannot buy a property in some parts of Pune (Kondhwa) which is totally muslim doninated.

I fail to understand as to why Hindus for this matter need to be blamed. Why dont the Muslims also look back as to what they have done.

This issue is very much of a concern for the future of us Indians.

But your views which seems to be one sided will still deepen the wounds of our fellow country men.

If we can live together anywhere in the world then why not in India.

Jai Hind.

i do not think this phenomenon is limited to mumbai - it has been pointed out to me by others that its very much there in the 'cosmopolitan' city of bangalore as well. its easy to talk of open attitude with the heart closed.
