Why I won't live among Hindus
by Vinay Gandhi on Apr 11, 2006 02:55 PM  Permalink

I's writing my comments without reading other comments...and it was in favour of Syed...and then I read comments made my other people on this article and my mindset got changed....

this totally explains how much people personal views get changed by media, politician etc...

Although I personally empathize with Syed...but as a community Muslims are not one of the easy to get along with.....

Also, I think Delhi fares far better over Mumbai as far as communal issues are concerned....

I believe as long as religion is over human values....its very difficult to get along with such people...be it hindu or muslims or sikhs...

Sikhs neway have lot in common with Hindu...so I can't compare sikhs with muslims...

It's really disappointing that casteism and bias still hangs on to Indians like a blood-sucking leech, all the while making us unhealthy and sick.

the part of whoever edited this article to give consent for its

publication on a well balanced and respected site such as yours. I

agree wholeheartedly that what the author went through was nothing

short of disgusting but in times when the not only does the country

but the whole world demands secularism and tolerance, it was bad

timing to publish an article to the contrary. What would have been

mature for instance would have been to encourage the author to

summarise his experience on a positive note that inspte of the

existence of few stray \"Hindus\" such as the ones mentioned in his

article, there are several millions out there who would be just as eager

to embrace his coexistence in their societies. Did the editors make

any attempt to verify that the author had made subsequent efforts to

find a society inhabited with more secular, humane and multi cultural

families?

That said, it also pains me that an article such as this surfaces from

the city of Mumbai which is already well known for its volatility and

instability. Dont you think that issues such as \"Mumbai for

Mumbaikars\" demands
