yes it is definitely over reaction
by think_different on Apr 12, 2006 07:21 AM  Permalink

Similar arguments can be easily provided for Muslims.
This does not mean anything...humans are by nature biased.
-I have heard stories of hindu's being harrased(read killed) in Muslim dominated ghettos

-In USA black dominated area are strictly no no for whites

Its not wise to give such statement ... blame some people and say they should change mind set.

what is needed is firm law, better judicial system, better education and less population.

you are right brother.
by Sri on Apr 12, 2006 06:33 AM  Permalink

Yes bro, it really sucks. I think the main reasons are may be because of the ignorance due to lack of education or political reasons, that, these things are persisting in our country. Im really ashamed to call all those fools my brothers, who still have this discrimination. May be we can change/ try to bring a change abt this situations in India. We shall think abt the process and lets implement it. Its hight time for us to realise where we are heading as a nation.

What is your point?
by Sharad on Apr 12, 2006 03:14 AM  Permalink

Why shouldn't I live the way I choose to. Until I can afford to keep fish eaters, Muslims, Gujrathis aways I will and I should. Same is true for all communities, not just Hindus. There is no Hindu-Muslim issue here. Why should one suffer when he can afford to keep the pain away.

Why I am for discrimination
by Ravi on Apr 12, 2006 02:54 AM  Permalink

There is nothing wrong in discrimination.

Discrimination is necessary in all walks. Tamil people like to move around with Tamil people, so do the marathis and others.

Architects like to move around with other architects because they can relate to them more.

Doctors like to move around with doctors.

People of one religion want to live with people of the same religion. This is not negative discrimiation, but a positive one. People want to live with their own kind and grow their culture.

Intermingling means compromising on your cultural uniqueness. Healthy discrimination enriches diversity.

Vegetarians need not suffer when put along with nonvegetarians. they can move along with other vegetarians and prepare delicious vegetarian meals.

Discrimination is a healthy practise.
Positive discrimination leads to growth and development.
Positive discrimination leads to happiness.
