india 4 indians
by kuldeep kumar jha on May 09, 2006 09:44 AM  Permalink

mr.ashraf should look at the reasons before commenting that he would not live with hindus.his statement clearly means that for india is only a place to live not his motherland, otherwise how can make such a harsh comment.does he mean to say that muslims are perfect and only hindus are discriminating them? does hindu sentiment should have no place in national mainstream?prob is not with muslims but with their rubbish, outdated, and uncompromising way of thinking

India is far more diverse than your experiences...
by Mahesh on May 09, 2006 01:28 AM  Permalink

All of your experiences definitely seem to have made it very difficult for you to think India is a favorable place for Muslims.

But my opinion is that India is far more diverse than the kind of experiences you have had. In almost every single Indian city and state...you find Hindus and Muslims living in same localities in absolute harmony with each other.

It is very easy to let some isolated incidents colour your thoughts. But these are the result of complete lawlessness and the large population problem that India is facing. For example, if a household is preparing fish and it causes the whole area to smell, it is the right of other households to complain that it is smelling. However, little can be done about that problem because population density is very high.

The household that is preparing food that smells a lot will be upset that other households are not tolerant. Those other households will be upset that the whole area is smelling.

Only mutual respect and tolerance can help maintain peace.

where the problem lies??
by Rationalist on Apr 29, 2006 10:32 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Mr.Ashraf:

Pls answer this and you will find a place anywhere in the world esle nowhere

1.Who would want their kids see a "Goat" being cut in their locales in open?

2.Who would want their religion being denigrated by their neighbours because for Muslims others are nonentity? (During an Art of Living class, on final day when all participants dance to the tune of a bhajan, 3 Muslim QUALIFIED youths get aside...reason their religion doesnot permit....such STUPIDITY...

3.During Ganeshotsav, when prasad is being distributed, Muslims will not accept the prasad.....

These are few of the instance which I have experienced personally.......just imagine if you Muslims reverse all of above...then what will happen....

OBVIOUSLY the whole world will give you place to stay...in their HOME.....

Pls rectify this.....

shed ur prejudice
by krishna on Apr 23, 2006 05:06 AM  Permalink

Before making opinion and some sort of conlclusion it will be better If Arifbhai gives some more time and think over why this and who is responsible. Peeping into past and looking to the present around from Malyisia to Iran will get you an answer.

I grew with muslims, and think they have to blame themselves and at least pay little attention and ask a question what makes other act like that.
While some of this is from past which is understandable and cannot be helped at the present moment but that doesnot mean it connot be changed for future. please change yourself and help others to change.

wishing for change and future.

Why I won't live among Hindus
by aryan on Apr 21, 2006 07:35 PM  Permalink

The Koran is so clear on this matter, that one must be wilfully blind to ignore it:

'Let not the believers take the disbelievers for intimate friends in preference to believers; whoever does that has no connection with Allah. Your only course is to keep away from them altogether. (Sura 3, Ayat 29.)

So if Muslims don't assimilate - the blame lies entirely with their religion, (Islam) and not with the Hindus, or anyone else for that matter.

Muslims know this. They deliberately choose to form ghettoes. But they know that they can score propaganda points by claiming that Hindus are forcing them to do this - when in reality, it is their own religion that tells them to do so.

Mr. Ashraf not only in India but in each and every Non-Muslim Country you will find the same think. Even in US its common. Situation is created by muslims themselves. dont blame others for it.even i doubt muslims and thats why i dont have muslim friends.
