Aftermath
by murali.p on Apr 11, 2006 02:39 PM  Permalink

Hearty condolence to the grieved families for the great loss.

We talk so much about techonologies, and claiming to the future super power...

How could the engineers or organisers failed to look into the safety aspect? how could they have only one entrance and not any fire escape for any eventualties like this.

What ever the case may be, its only a personal loss for few families who lost their kith and kin. Govt will not implement any stringent rules to avoid such tragedy.

Meerut fire: The aftermath
by kiran on Apr 11, 2006 02:21 PM  Permalink

My heartfelt deep condolences for all of those who lost lifes in this tragic incident. There is scanty respect for human life in India. This episode will soon be forgotten in about a month or so leaving the families scars for whole of there life. The municipality should strictly implement the rules and not by passing any for rules the installation of these fares. We should make our country a better place to live such that these incidents donot occur again.

I am horrified by the Fire Accident of Meerut. It is total negligence on part of the Organizers not to consider the safety aspects. This is high time we should learn that we can not play with the lives of so many innocent people who came to visit the fair. Now no one will come forward and take the responsibility.
