UPA government, Prime minister,HRD minister owe an explaination to the nation ,as to what has gone wrong with reservation policy , conceived by Pt.Nehru, run sucessfully by government for the last five plus decades and yet failed in realising its goal. Rather then doing an honest analysis of the whole issue,HRD minister just announces goverments intention of increase in the quota for OBC.It is plain vote bank gimmic, ill conceived plan which is going to unleash disaster in the future.
There can be only three things
1-Reservation,on cast basis in a planned manner. should taper down 2-Only crieterian for reservation should be economic.
3-Those who have enjoyed advantage of reseravtion for two generations, their next generations should be treated at par with others. 4-Every year their should be an audit of this ,and falure should investigated and corrective action taken.
Let me tell politicians of the day that it is a serious issue and be viewed very carefully without any narrow consideration.Any mishandling will negate the purpose of the concept. Our goal should be that very soon we should be a nation of equal opportunity for all. SHINE INDIA.
Final Resolution, to amalgamate and integrate India, ..make it casteless! This will cost us less.
This is the high time to bring an ordinance to convert rest of all other casts into SCs and STs! How is the idea? In this modern world we should proactively resolve such issues. We are all brothers and sisters. India has to be casteless rather than be proclaimed cosmopolitan state. Merit is needed for our national progress. The rut shall automatically be settled. In the process, without any discrimination, only capable, patriotic and competent ones shall come up for the performance in chairs of powers and administration. No issues for any nonsense, after all what is there in the name? ..and the cast too! Our heroes in politics will get more votes without costing any thong to nation. (given a chance I will like to become one) the ones in the ruling seats have simply burnt the future of my nation for last so many years!!! Mahendra Barde, M.Tech.(Civil), 79IITBombay
