JUDA WAS NO TRAITOR: NEW GOSPEL
by PAUL on Apr 07, 2006 04:30 PM  Permalink

I have gone through the article published in E-mail.I would like to share my opinion on this issue that way back 2000 years ago what all happened to the Life of Jesus was brought back into the scriptures. Every scripture today the entire world is reading is called Bible. Every christian believes that the bible is word of god which came holy spirit. In many occassions it is proved that bible is only one book which can change life of the people and many became obediant to the scriptures and changed their lifes. Today treamendous change in the world because of entering the Christanity preachings, love, service to the human kind. These characters are derived from the bible and man through the years has been changing and still it is working powerfully. All because the bible is from God's inspirational spirit. What has been today discovered the historical new thing about Juda is not from the god but it is invented and discovered by man which can not be relied on. Amazingly the new book is speaking only about the Jesus requesting Juda to hand over to execution. But it never says about christ life and the purpose and his power. No reliance can be placed. Please correct my english.

Gnostic gospels
by John Wesley on Apr 07, 2006 04:05 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

There is nothing interesting about this. Gnosticsm is not new to Christianity. It flourished well in the second century giving rise to many spurious gospels like the gospel of Peter, Philip, mary magdalene etc. All of these are fakes and their authenticity can never be proved and they cannot be trusted for any valuable historical information. Contrary to this the four Biblical gospels were written in the first century just with in a few years/decades after Christ. They have more reliable historical information compared to all the others.

RE:Gnostic gospels
by Ross Bagley on Apr 07, 2006 11:50 PM  Permalink
But the four gospels that were chosen by the first biblical compilers were chosen because the differences between them were less troubling and easier to explain away than other gospels. Authorship of the four biblical gospels also occured between 50ad and 250ad, which places this new gospel into the exact same time frame as the other "acceptable" gospels.

People who are denying the historical validity of this document are pretending that one group of stories that "kind of" agree with each other are significantly different from other stories that are more different. The bible is a group of historical texts written by many different authors with many different agendas, and the original compilers of the bible picked and chose the ones they liked the best. Nobody actually knows what happened because the politics of the day were too important to leave to the simple truth.

Everything else is wishful thinking (but fun wishful thinking). If you believe otherwise, you have to believe that the earth was created in six 24-hour periods about six to ten thousand years ago. Which is simply false.

Judas Iscariot the Betrayor
by Daniel on Apr 07, 2006 03:57 PM  Permalink

Judas Iscariot was a betrayer. If not, why did he commit suicide. He could have told the so called truth to other disciples. Don't give room for suspicion. JESUS CHRIST is our SAVIOUR. HE came to this world to save the mankind from the bondage of sin and HE is going to come as a Kind to judge the mankind. DANIEL

by kaul on Apr 07, 2006 03:52 PM  Permalink

Hi,

We till believe that what is written in Holy Bible is correct.
People in recent times do come up with such absurd theories that they have uncoded some info just for thier own interest.

Regards
kaul

Judas is Traitor
by Ebenezer on Apr 07, 2006 03:38 PM  Permalink

Hi
whether the devil entered thru judas or not, but he IS a traitor.
Obviously when he writes his own gospel, he will write that he is innocent. And that too he writes that Jesus asked him to betray his master. So it's really junk...Dont wast time on a traitor's confession that he is innocent.

Gospel of Judas
by Y. Popli on Apr 07, 2006 03:29 PM  Permalink

An interesting "turn and twist" kind story.

Who knows the "Truth"

From New Testaments, Judas is the obvious betrayer, not because of money but he was fearful of death.

He was not that strong so he yielded. Perhaps he succumbed to pressures to betray.
