Judas!!!!!!
by augustine on Apr 08, 2006 02:15 AM  Permalink

Well all the four gospels record that judas hanged himself to Death.
So there arises the question who did write this then? any cliams about the author, as we find all the remaing gospels do have author, so i guess it proves judas gospel to be fake

What Can I say?
by Rachit on Apr 08, 2006 01:00 AM  Permalink

Well..After reading all of what people have written before this it deeply worries me that even in the 21st century people still want various wrintings mentioned as gospels to be authenticated by Vatican who are no more than ordinary men. All analysis thru advanced scientific techniques have fallen on deaf ears...today we need to absorb things with a more broader outlook....What if Judas wasn't a traitor or may be Mary was Jesus' wife? We all have the Dark Ages to behold the draconian and brutal use of power by the church...Galileo killed...Copernicus too..all bcoz they dared to go against the Pope..Sry sir..but I do believe that if such documents existed, its a surity that the Chuuch wud have gone all its way to destroy coz it challenges there way of faith. Ihave Faith in Christ but that's in him alone..i dont go by what a 60 yr old man decked up in gold says from a platform coz its just as valuable as what i wud say in the name of religion.

points to ponder
by Job on Apr 08, 2006 12:42 AM  Permalink

This is really weird..i was just thinking about this today night at 12;30..it could be a real thing..maybe judas wrote a gospel. Jesus came to the earth to die for our sins..so obviuosly satan would'nt want that, but maybe cos all things good are god's chareters and all evil things are satan' character as judas had evil, satan entered him..some say judas hanged himself to get to hades before jesus so that he can plead with Jesus to forgive him..anyway i feel this should be taken seriously.

He is traitor
by B. Navajeevan on Apr 08, 2006 12:38 AM  Permalink

These are end times and any message can spread like wildfire. As Jesus said in end times it will be still faster to confuse the people. Let us not fall into the trap of the Satan

May God bless you all.

judas not a traitor - FALSE
by Clive on Apr 08, 2006 12:38 AM  Permalink

This is to pull down the Christanity image and belief. A Human being like Judas always wants to prove something right when he has done wrong and who would believe the scriptures found 30 years ago what proves it was written 2000 years ago by Judas.

2nd Century Heresy
by Chesterton Reader on Apr 08, 2006 12:05 AM  Permalink

Christian heresies abounded earlier than the 2nd century. If the document is authentic, it's an authentic 2nd century hoax pushing an agenda of an early form of monophysite heresy - disparaging and even dismissing Jesus' human nature. Someone once said - maybe Chesterton - that all Christian heresies are heresies against the Incarnation in one way or another.

Gospel of Judas? Gimme a break!!!
by Blessen on Apr 08, 2006 12:05 AM  Permalink

The term-- Gospel-- itself means Good News and anything that's gotta do with Judas Iscariot cannot be good news... And if Judas was asked by Jesus to betray Him, then the biggest question to be asked here is why did Judas commit suicide after he betrayed the Son of Man with a kiss? I now wonder if the gospel also says that Judas died a natural death... maybe a cardiac arrest because he couldn't bear the death of Christ...
Besides, why would Jesus ask anyone to betray Him? He could have just gone ahead and handed himself over to the authorities!!!

Anyways, it will be better off if v dont give this much importance... The Da Vinci Code became so popular cause' the Christians around the world created a huge rukus, which I must say has a reverse effect!!! It is then that every1 took even more interest in the book...

Judas - We should think rationally
by Pinaki Roy on Apr 07, 2006 11:36 PM  Permalink

It is natural that there would be a huge hue and cry with the proposition that Judas Iscariot was not THAT bad a man after all. In this age of scientific, rational thinking, we should be open to all suggestions, and we should remember history is notorious for producing villians out of heroes and vice versa. Dan Brown's "The Da Vinci Code" has taught us to think different aspects of the Bible in a new light; Doron Nof has published that Jesus Christ actually walked on floating ice on Lake Kinneret or the Sea of Galilee (he suggested in 1994 that unique atmospheric conditions might have led to the paring of the Red Sea)...so if there is a new hypothesis on Judas, we should think and rethink on it before dismissing it altogether!
