Re: Muslims must help build temple
by Surajit on Apr 06, 2006 06:27 PM  Permalink

**** you Mr Advani. We have more important issues in the country in terms of economic development, infrastructure, education, health care, social welfare etc. rather than your temple. The obsession with temple clearly shows that you have not been able to move ahead with times and come into terms with the reality. Temple and Masjid are no longer an issue for us...while those listed above are. Wake up old man, or you can retire for a slumber at the confines of your dreams and thoughts , but please limit it to the confines of the four walls of your private life. We cant least be bothered about a temple and masjid...to me a Muslim brother has the same rights as myself a Hindu and I think that both of our rights to practice religion should be limited to our own private lives. Religion and its practice should have nothing to do in the public face.

bad politics
by Pradeep on Apr 06, 2006 06:14 PM  Permalink

really, the courage of the district administration officials to take a stand against the will political big bosses of a state which is ruled by BJP+BJD is some thing which needs to be appreciated.

Advani should not drag religious places unnecessarily in to communal politics. He may be a good leader... some of the stands of BJP could be correct, but that does not make this Rath yatra look clean. In spite of all the clarification by the BJP regarding the Rath yatra, it's obvious to everyone that BJP wants to gain some political mileage from the recent attacks on Hindu religious places. OK, BJP is free to do that, but Puri is not the right place to start such a rath yatra, and the district administration has done the correct thing by not allowing the yatra. Places like Puri has lot of emotional value for people and any attempt to manipulate that emotion to any narrow political advantage is not ethical.

Advani's yatra
by Biopress on Apr 06, 2006 05:58 PM  Permalink

Advani and the BJP seem to be completely bereft of ideas other than idiotic yatras. They should realise that there is no place in this country for bigoted clowns. Having destroyed Babri Masjid and being responsible for the deaths of thousands of innocents all they can look forward to is the eternal scorn of thinking people everywhere. And scorn does not translate into votes

Mr. Advani, please don't fool people now by singing ur old tasteless songs of Communalism.
It would be better if you talk about constructing Schools and Colleges for poors, orphanage, homes for old people etc.
Otherwise, your end is very near.

I appreciate people like you who put up their criticism in an elegant way. Not agreeing on something or criticizing someone is OK, but some other guys who post comments here on rediff just don't follow basic courtesy norms even while writing about people of high echeleon.

Ikramur Rehman,

It seems that you weren't taught the basic courtesies. You must follow some basic courtesies while writing about a great leader on rediff pages.

Rediff : You posted my last message at the wrong place. Please see to it that this doesn't happen again.
