living legend
by mallik on May 01, 2006 08:36 AM  Permalink

i truly believe that this article(woman) stands as inspiration for every indian. We have millions of us who doesn't even spend few seconds to think abt the nation.
To be frank the spirit and patriotism in her words make me feel shame abt myself who always thinks of doing something big for nation but haven't done until now.
Pass this article to as many as you can so atleast in this we could contribute to raise some awareness.

sincerely

How are we different from politicians whom she blamed?
by Harinder Nandyala on Apr 30, 2006 10:25 PM  Permalink

I feel that many comments are about praising her for her sacrifices. But only few of these comments are different from what politicians speak today. I hear lot of politicians (if not all) talk/praise about Gandhi, Tagore etc. but very few (negligible) of them follow these great people. If we just comment and keep quiet - we are not different from them. Let us not just praise but follow her and come out of this materialistic world. Let us do something for humanity by following her. I know one cannot clean the trash in a day or year. But let us begin now and see what we can do for future generations.

At 106, she still cares about India
by Karthik on Apr 29, 2006 01:14 PM  Permalink

Moving article...I wish the corrupt and selfish people in the Indian public life today would read this and it would be a tribute to Saraswathi amma if it can change the attitude of atleast one such person favorably.

by Naveen on Apr 29, 2006 02:45 AM  Permalink

This article should make everyone proud to be an Indian. But the last few lines about Congress givig money for votes to the same woman who had seen Congress from the roots is one thing Politians and we young people should be ashamed of.
