Hello, I feel very very glad to read this article about Ms.Saraswthi Amma!!!what a life she lived!!It is such an inspiring life story. We would like to read such more life experinces of elderly people.i forwarded the article to my childern. It makes us to realise how tough life the freedom fighters have faced & what cost they paid to have the FREE INDIA & now what situation India is facing now. We should really work very hard to drag our beloved COUNTRY out of this bad situation.THANK YOU very much to publish such a wonderful article!!! Hina Shah.
What courage displayed by this amazing woman. It is just inspiring reading her continue living and serving in face of such personal tragedy and adversity. It is inspiring to read about such selflessness. Our world would be a better place if we could practice just a fraction of this woman's courage. Thanks Shobha Warrier for such articles. Your articles continue to stand out from the junk that fills mainstream media.
I am realy moved by her story and sacrifice. In a place where people raise false claims of being a part of the freedom movement, It's great to see selfless people like Saraswathi Ammaal.
Despite her tragedies, she has boldly faced life. People like her make us Indians distinct from the rest.
Thanks for the Interviewer, author and the editorial team for bringing out people like these to the world for others. Good to see that media sometimes concentrates on some worthwile things.
I was moved to read about the great 106 year old freedom fighter who had to struggle for basic necessities at such an age. We as citizens of India must be ashamed of ourselves for not taking care of our elders.
Please publish the contact address of where she is currently staying so that we can help and write to her. She should be honored and our politicians must learn the meaning of honesty from her.
Than q very much for ur nice article on Mrs.Saraswathi Ramaswamy,a true legend whose self-confidence and strong determination must have been a challenge even to the living God!
Her disgust & disappointment with the congress & any Indian government can very well be understood when one comes to know how they treated her despite her sacrifice for our country, besides losing her husband and her three sons on the fateful day of 30th January,1948!
Every person has got atleast a page to read & learn from her vast book of experience all through these 106 years! Well, she has shown how to win the darkness to throw light on others! I strongly believe in Jesus Christ and sincerely hope He has an answer for her!
It is our sincere wish that people like Mrs.Saraswathy Ramaswamy should always be hailed & never go unnoticed!
The present government should take sincere steps to spread the worthy fragrance of Mrs.Saraswathy through all possible tools including education.
