I know exactly how the govts will deal with the villages and their hundreds of millions of poor and unemployed - offer them free stuff to vote in your favor - free rice, free TVs, free cars, free booze, free power, free gas, free everything. And when you get elected and your brain fogs over...wasn't there something about promises...poor people...naah! Must have been a dream. There are no poor people in India, at least not until the next elections.
The Ambassador Richard Holbrooke seems very frank and positive and ready to eloborate on many issues. The questions were mediocre, it would have been much more interesting if he had been interviewed by someone like Sheela Bhatt.
I am unable to understand how the main 5/6 governmental banks of China generated money to finance loan to public. Because if you generates those money from public(either from the public savings or Revenue collection of governement) and use those again to grant loan then how the governmental projects will run without having cash on its own hand. And also won't the public may not ask for the return of their money when and where they need. So how long these bank will shy away from their claims. Plese explain
