The Nobel Peace Prize is a very tiny award for the HUGE Sri Sri whose HEART is so large that the LOVE that flows from there is non-stop, immense, unconditional, all over this wide world and penetrating through all religions. SRI SRI and his followers/volunteers are UNMINDFUL of awards when involving themselves in SEVA activities. There can be no SAD day for INDIA and the WORLD, when SRI SRI and the "Vasudeva Kudumbaka" [one world, one family]are there......because each one lives in the present moment........without any expectations....!
Jai Gurudev. Nice to read the article on whether Guruji need a nobel prize or not... Just remember that we are talking about a worldly award to the one who is teaching about the spirituality and divinity. I consider Guruji above all these awards. (let's be silent...)
Sri Sri is nobelest peace maker. Have you seen another bring up organisation that operates out of over 145 countries, with over 20 million who felt inner peace, programs handicrafted for all strata of society, in less than 10years of active operations? Over 2.5million gathering together across continents, religion, faith, caste, creed, ready to be knit in one fibre of love? No judgement but law of nature. Common sense is not so common is also common sense.
It will be a pity for all indian and all people around the globe if Sri. Sri does not receive Noble prize just because he is an hindu(Indian). As Sri. Sri. has worked all round the world irrespective of caste, religion, social status and class. he is a messiha for millions of people. He is been with people whereever there is a calamity, distress or catostrophe and has shown them the right path of getting out of their trauma and live a life of confidence. I, on behalf of millions of people who know his service and dedication towards human beings hope & wish that Sri. Sri should be the Noble Prize winner for peace.
SIR, His Holiness Sri Sri Ravi Shankar(our beloved Guruji) is the right choice to The Nobel prize for peace.His simplicity, love and service towards The Universe seperated him from other Spiritual Masters.I believe 100% that our Guruji will win The Nobel prize
S. S. Ravi Shankar has supported a criminal and mass murderer Narendra Modi and that act was anti-human and anti-peace and therfore S. S. Ravi Shankar is not qualified to get NOBEL PRIZE.
Guru will really make a guru stroke, if he gets this one too. This sudden cry for Nobel prize for a man who runs a very good business out of teaching basic truths of life will be certainly a disgrace to the award itself.
Let us ask certain basic questions here. Should the Nobel Prize be given just because he preaches and lectures on spirituality? But has he made any real effort to bring about peace between two waring groups?
If preaching hindu spirituality is the the only criteria then there are many such Gurus? Why Mata Anandamayee or Sai Baba?
By giving this Nobel prize is West trying to recognise the Hindu spiritualism or trying to make it the next in thing after Buddhism?
Is Hindu spirituality is at sale in the west like Bollywood and Indian food?
US has developed an intense liking for everything Indian from IT to spirituality, especially after 9/11 it seems. And they want to reward Indians in every possible manner from special banquets for Indian politicians to even nomination for Nobel peace prize. Jay Ho Guru!!
