Nobel for Sri Sri Ravi Shankar
by Ravi Pathak on May 07, 2006 07:34 PM  Permalink

Yes - What you resist will persist.
It takes a good jeweler to identify a good jewel.
I don't think the world needs Noble to get Guruji recognized. HIS work and contribution is beyond an award. Does the Nobel foundation deserve to give a Peace award?

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar & Nobel Peace Prize
by livyrdream2@yahoo.com on Feb 26, 2006 02:56 AM  Permalink

Having just returned home to Canada from the 25th anniversary Silver Jubilee celebration in India, I feel renewed.
Sri Sri Ravi Shankar is an exceptional, incomparable man: he\'s wise, kind, and witty, and he works tirelessly to help people around the world. It\\\'s such a shame that he didn\'t win the Nobel Peace Prize as the exposure would have encouraged so many more people to live better lives as a result of the practice and his teachings. It\'s a priviledge and an honour to meet him!

NPP for SSRS
by Dr. Jamuna Nandankrishanan on Feb 26, 2006 01:28 AM  Permalink

I am an expert in the field of science and research, and I belive that the Art Of Living is such an amazing orgainization- The results of the Sudarshan Kriya are mindblowing!

I have recently attended the Silver Jubilee Celebrations (2.5 mil. people attended) and am truly enamored by the number of followers which have congregated for one goal- peace

I have no doubts that Sri Sri deserves the prize. The messages of love, peace, and the changes in the lives of millions around the world are just amazing.

And even as the organization grows, he himself still stays humble and untouched.

In response to the previous posts, I have to say that I am very disappointed that everyone keeps mentioning \'he collects money and enjoys himself\'-
Do you really know this? MY relatives had suffered from the tsunami and they were helped IMMEDIATELY by the members of the foundation and Sri Sri HIMSELF. So before anyone assumes or tries to make any judgements, please check up on the facts. The rest of the money collected goes to the 5H programs, where so many people get a chance at having a better life.
And lastly, if the knowledge and techniques were free, would you really have value for it?
-J

Nobel peace prize for SSRavi Shankar

Francois Gautier , this guy has no konwledge about indian spirituality. He has samrtly written that After Vivekananda and Aurobindo none of our spiritual leaders have shaken the west. It's incorrect.
Paramhansa Yogananda is considered as the best ambassador between asia and USA , he was a realised soul and disciple of Mahavatar BABAJI , Lahiri Mahasahaya and Yukteswar Giri. he has done a lot in the field of human rights .
Another thing is Nisarga Datta Maharaj and Ramana Maharishi have numerous great western scholars as their disciple.Paul Brunton , Cathy boucher , Henri Cartier-Bresson, Arthur Osborne are to name a few.Difference is that these god realized souls never
crave for money and cheap publicity like others that's why people know less about their contributions.
