Time has not come yet

I feel that there are better individuals who deserves to get Nobel Peace price than Ravi Shankar. I think this is not the time we discuss about him.

He is yet to give more to the society. Lets concentrate on those individuals who ought to have got Nobel by this time but havent got one. But still tirelessly working on upkeep of the society and peace all over the world.

Actually names will fill reams of pages. You don't become a great man by through some means (like teaching Yoga to only affluent people of the society) you accumulate lot of money and then spend the money for charity (all the time living comfortably and basking in the glory). I know of several people who have sacrificed everything that they have for the sake of others. Even if these people have touched only few, they are greater human beings because they contributed from their own meagre resources. People like Medha Patkar have struggled all their lives for the sake of downtrodden fighting Govt, press and large sections of society.
You want names, you read newspapers and acquire some knowledge. You don't get any in AOL classes. I have attended one. The guy who was teaching was not fit to teach pushups, let alone Yoga.

What man u really sound as if u have been paid a handsome amount to lobby that hard in a total blatant & blasphemious manner. U know that SRI has not invested any money + he does not do any SEWA as such himself except to charge as course fees the Pranayam technique from thousands of year old patanjali yogasutras as his own reincarnated in a new avatar with his own brand name for which no royalty is paid.Plus when everything is secular why are u bringing up the hindu word here. Also i do not think that to teach us to breathe is a great idea as if we have grown up so big without or faulty breathing techniques : it will be a good idea to teach the fishes swimming but alas they will not be in a position to pay for it. thanks

All True religious leaders are above Noble Prize?
by sadananda on Sep 30, 2005 12:44 AM  Permalink

All true religious leaders are above Noble Prize. Indeed their selfless service to the society is unique in nature. They are not working for prize and they should not be compared for Prizes like this.
