HE DESERVES IT
by Darshan on Oct 04, 2005 06:45 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Say post sep11 attack or Iraq war or Tsunami or Mumbai floods or Katrina ....name it and his disciplines have run into action without any prejudice. This is becuase of his teachings that Art of living cares for the world.
He has touched lifes of so many stressed people. Even PreZ bush had asked for prayers from him on his White house visit.
He's the architecture of a global village, which UN is planing for so long.
I think he do deserve to be Nobal Peace prize winner.

Hey Guys,

Can u please enlighten me who this guy is? I guess one of those whose photographs come on newspaper on page 2 or 3 stating to heal all problems in the world. Anywayz, I guess if the reason being help and the no. is the marksheet for it...then going forward we can see a good competition between all gurujis n (guruammas) abt the no.s. IT guys can keep track of it and from India we can send a nomination to Nobel prize authority by auditing the no.s

Plz guys grow up, not to hurt anyones beleif but try to think rationally.

Felt like ...damn...how can someone write like this, may be one of the loaded pupil of this Guruji.

bye..hope parity restores

Guruji Definitely deserves the Nobel Peace Prize
by Uma Nerurkar on Oct 03, 2005 02:50 PM  Permalink

Guruji is an embodiment of peace and surely He deserves this and much more.

At the same time Guruji is beyond all this; His focus is to bring peace & harmony among people irrespective of religion/castes. I find in Him an absolute Divine being. More & more people need to get to know the Art Of Living and its programs for benefiting their lives.

Nobel for Sri Sri Ravi Shankar?
by Evelyn Pang on Oct 03, 2005 06:51 AM  Permalink

Spritual Leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar do not work for
prize . His knowledge & his works are much more valuable & far beyond any prize or reconigition which
may be bestow upon him.

Yes,Guruji deserves it
by sujatha mohan on Oct 02, 2005 03:08 PM  Permalink

If one is familiar with Guruji's contribution to peace and happiness, they would agree that he is right candidate for the Nobel Peace Prize. But as seen in the main article,he may be deprived of it cos hes a born Hindu. The most notable part of his projects is that you dont have to convert to Hinduism to enjoy the benifits of his organisation. He insists that you continnue following your religion... that you become a better Hindu,a better Muslim,a better Christian etc....,ie conversion from bad to good, good to better.
But again,Guruji does not need the Nobel Prize for the world to recognize his contribution to society.

It's not ''spirituality'', but corporate business.
by Cogito_ergo... on Oct 02, 2005 07:06 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

This was earlier posted in "reply" to Hanif Mohammed. My "reply" did not get published, so this post. I belong to the same religion as Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. Therefore, my views are not coloured by my religious beliefs. Even my mother-tongue is the same as his.
The fact of the matter is that SSRS is just another of those "gurus", running trans-national or multinational corporate businesses, pretending to give "spiritual" guidance to the whole world. There are many in the same business, like Mata Amritanandamayi, "Maharshi" Mahesh Yogi, "Bhagawan" Satya Sai Baba, and a horde of lesser known ones like S N Goenka ("vipassana"). A "Christian" example is Benny Hinn, who was treated like a Head of State when he came to India last year. He makes $100 million a year globally, Rs.150-200 million from India alone. The objective is to MAKE MONEY and GAIN POWER. The philanthropic and charitable actions are only PR exercises for promoting their real business. Why not give Nobel peace prize to Bill Gates and Melinda Gates? They deserve it, because they have been giving away billions of $$$$ when they don't need to.
Wake up, my countrymen, don't be such suckers! PS: NOBEL, not Noble!

The comment seems to be a biased one. One will have to know(practice) 'spirituality' before assigning any comment there on. Spirituality is quite different from 'religion'. No living person can deny 'PRANA', and spirituality is to deal with 'PRANA' conciously.
A truely spiritual person will love all those who have 'PRANA', and that is the foundation of lasting peace. Before commenting on such a vital issue, one should have investigated more on the subject. One who searches , gets it.
