If they dont award the Nobel prize for peace to Sri Sri now, they will be overwhelmed tomorrow to do the same. Sooner the better to save the cerdibility of the award.
Sri Sri does not need the Nobel - his faith in the Geeta Saar - Action without an eye on the Fruits, being the catalyst in all his endeavours! His unwavering commitment to whatever he does, drives the Movement as we now know.
If anything, the world needs "Sri Sri - Nobel Laureate", to be reminded, every now and then, of the goodness of Man - of the small acts of kindness which add big meaning to our existence. The award will draw the world's attention to this gentle giant and his addictive kindness... a quality which needs to be cloned and beamed to the millions of hotspots on the Earth...
The article on "Guruji" is very well written. Ofcourse his work is so enormous , that everyone now recognise the Art of living foundation. Its the true nature of Hindu, that Hinduism is not a Relegion , but its a way of life. I am one of those blessed to be a part of this foundation like millions from 144 countries. I strongly believe his work must be recognised by the Authorities and Nobel Prize for Peace shall be given on his 50 years also 25th Silver Jublee of Art of living for 2006-07. Jai Guru Dev.
Course fees

Well i did the course for just 100 Rs. as i could pay only for that. Who says that sri sri is only for rich and middle class people? Please do not misguide anyone else. And so far as monies are concerned, each and every paisa is used for seva. Even after i did the course, i have seen many people doing the course for absolutely free. provided the case has to be genuine. JGD Sorry for hard words but i cannot tolerate people saying against a soul that does good for u, me and everyone.
I dont beleive that he should be granted any noble of national/internation significance. His organization ask for money to do courses which they force people to sign as donations. They themsleves are restless and moneyminded people, how can they impart peace to people. This is all drama by these Guru and like that.

Hi Arpit, Not to hurt you, but wanted to share these things with you. I dont think you have experienced the joy of being a part of AOL. Well I doubt if you have actually done this course. I personally feel that, there are certain things which should be measured only after you have your own experience with the same(May it be good or bad). I sincerely advice you to do the basic course and then let me know if you still have the same opinion. People come into AOL with their own will and wish. Nobody is being forced to either join AOL or give donations towards the same. I am sure you would change your opinion once you join this family.

True no one is forcing anyone to do the courses. But the very fact that the course costs hundreds of rupees proves that it is meant for rich and middle class. Social service is reaching out to maximum no of people (who are, incidentally, the poor), which I am pretty sure the GURUJI is not doing. All he has done so far is talk a lot about harmony but has not achieved anything. If you can Nobel prize is for talking then he can certainly have it.

No one is forcing you to do the course and the amount paid is nothing compared to the benefit derived - My wife and self have personally experienced this .
And the money collected is put to very good use. Pl go to artofliving.org and check for yourself.
Jai Gurudev The nobel won't affect the good work he is doing in either way, but would surely test our sense of gratitude. Yoga was practised in ancient India by everyone, and is a part of amcient Indian culture.
Yes It should have been given long back. If it is given this time, then it is finest feather for Nobel's Crown since Sri Sri is even much... much... beyond those felicitations and he is uncomparable.
