Sir, I demand that the reservation policy must be extended to the doctors treating Mr. Pramod Mahajan. Out of the 4-doctor surgical team 45.5 % must be reserved for the SC/ST and non-creamy layer OBC. This will definitely enthuse the downtroden class and help in their upliftment. Then we can also use this precedence to advocate reservation in the private sector. As we can say that if reservation can be used for the 2000 crore worth Mr. Pramod Mahajan it surely can be of use to the common people of India. Oh... by the way, this is another example of greatness of India. That the son of a poor school teacher with no ancesterial property is now worth 2000 crore. That too in a profession which involves selfless service to the nation..... Hotobhaga
1. Lack of one supreme leader and interference by RSS : No organization can function well if hierarchy is ill defined .
2. Lack of grassroots knowledge : Increasingly true of Congress also . That is why regional parties are taking up the rural political space .
3. Shamelessly ignoring ideology : Not a single "Hindu " issue was taken up by BJP when in power .
4. Bureaucrats run the actual show . Administrative incompetence of BJP ministers invited contempt from bureaucrats . BJP also treated bureaucrats badly . Ill defined hierarchy created problems for bureaucrats .
Unacceptable brazenness : While all parties indulge in fund raising and distribution of spoils to loyals , BJP did not show sophestication and went about it like a steamroller . This was unacceptable to most people .
Party cadres not taken care : Pracharaks started moving in red light cars while the ordinary worker was left in the cold .
Inordinate influence of trading classes spoilt governance .
No concept of loyalty : Even loyal Civil servants like Subhash Sharma were victims of rivalries between top leaders . ureaucrats dont want to touch BJP with a barge pole
A well thought written article gives true picture of BJP. The supporters of BJP like me are sad today. However the blame goes to Atal/Advani (though the fact is that they rose the party to the highest mountains of Polictics)because they did not developed the 2nd line of command. In Indian political system either the leader should be like King or Queen (as we have in Congress)or he should have democratic/accomodating nture which alas! non of these two leaders had, they were quite contents & happy with their indivisual supporters but the time was moving fast and age wass not in their favour, this is true for BJP.
Now the only course is left that let the new party leaders like Rajnath Singh/Sushma/Parmod Mahajan should burn their differences and should give collective guidence to the party with no interference from RSS at all. Only then BJP can survie otherwise it will be reduced to some mini party as we already have in the Country, -Shekhar Bahuguna
Mr Bidwai's "criticism", and the grain of truth it contains, would have been effective if there were'nt a mile wide smirk in all the writing, & if he'd stop gloating in each sentence.
All this article seems to say is "I hate BJP/RSS, & see see seeee...they're going down, & isn't that nice"
I strongly condemn this article and I demand that Rediff immediately withdraw this from its site.
Writing a commentary on proper analysis is certainly good. But, personalised attacks based on vengence or fictitious comments are BAD qualities of columnists. Just sample Bidwai's use of words while referring to Vajpayee and Advani, "begging" and "they were not in talking terms" (how on earth do you know this Mr. Praful, did you hear this from Vajpayee or Advani?). Nothing else could be a worst example for a commentary than this.
I don't care, if Mr. Praful writes this in his own blog, but Rediff can not go too low in its standard. Rediff, act NOW.
Why doesn\\\'t Praful Bidwai identify himself as a fiction writer rather than a political commentator. Its really funny how these pinkos with just around 6% of nation\\\'s support are so obsessed with BJP and Advani who command atleast four times more support in the country in terms of votes and atleast 10 times more support in educated Indians (off course educated - not as in JNU types) than the commies.
Notwithstanding their disproportionately high representation in the media and other power weilding arenas on the country the commies still have not been able to break the ice beyond Kerela and Bengal.
Such work of fiction can be great matter for Dehli chateratti. Nothing more.
This is the same prafull Badwai who wrote that UPA is doing excellent job by appointing Lalu as Raliway minister come on, i am no supporter of BJP after the way they handled gujarat riots in 2002 ,but as an so called expert and journalist it is clearly evident that this JNU walla still lives on old "secular" world ,which is nothing but basically "anti-india" and as a matter of fact "anti-indian civilisation"
