I like the article very much because it is not just author's view but this is what 90% of Indians think (if truely Indian). It show case the lack of interest and selfishness of our politicians who have left no self respect and signity and only important thing for them is money accumulation. The reason why I am blaming politicians is they are supposed to be the represtatives of all citizens and they have the platform to raise this issue. Inspite of this, we don't have any leader who stands boldly and say anything against Pakistan. Whoever says, they all says for their own interest and not National Interest. Now, do they want each and every citizen to come out and tell them that they should raise their voice before its too late? I think the representatives of Indian citizens should knwo their responsibility otherwise we don't need these people. Now coming to India Pakistan relationship, first thing what Indian government should do is to take out that Hurriyat out of scope. Then India should start forcing for POK. Government leaders and politicians!!! wake up ! we need some attack and not just defence....Once again, great and realistic article.
I share the concern expressed by the author. Its very disturbing to observe that slowly india has lost initiative and is playing a catch up game to pakistan's demands . From 2002 till 2004 india was dictating the terms as it was pakistan which was desperate to start the dialogue. After that slowley and steadily india dropped all its demand like 1. Not deal with a Dictator 2. Issue of POK. Its a mistake to trust the current establishment accorss the border. And now Pakistan has started dictating how and where we should deploy forces within our border. Disturbing thing is there has not been any response from indian goverment to this alleged interference in india's internal affair and our PM and FM has accepted a visit to Pakistan. My basic question is why current indian goverment allowing Pakistan to dicatate terms when we are in a position of strength in all areas ? It goes against the basic rule of negotiation. It should not be too late before we realise this.
My heart bleeds for this country - my beloved India.
I'm terrifed at the way these weak politicians are handling the country's affairs vis-a-vis pakistan and the US.
It's only a matter of time when Kashmir is taken away and 'GREAT PEOPLE' of India will do nothing about it. There will be a few protests, police firing, etc. And then just like the great Mumbaikars, get on with life and forget all about it.
I sometimes feel so much about it, I feel like I'll have a heart attack worrying about it.
Mr.Prime Minister and other minsters - a sincere request from a true Indian.
Please do not sell out self respect. Learn something from China. Why do we have to bend our heads to the US or the Pakistani dictator ? We have the power to break their backs if they lift their fingers against us. Pls pls pls, do not sell out Kashmir.
