WIll US let India have this deal. They are just trying to show that they want India to develop Civil Nuke plants... But in the end whatever reasons they give it will be a decision against India. Mark my words.
They will put conditions like sign NPT or something. US is very clever and will only be encouraged to help India when it makes a profit from it. As Indians we need to understand that a nation like US can o0nly be your friend as long its getting something from you. So we have to play our cards very cautiously....US does not give a damn about Indian Americans and their issues. All they care about is their world domination. I repeat "mark my words"
It seems to be a trend now in every major newspaper or website of highlighting any Tom Dick & Harry, or for that matter any idiot anywhere says something about India, and we start talking about it. First check where these people stand in their country. some guy who is a small time senator or in some committee says India is going to be big and we are joyful. This is a guy whom nobody in his home country listens to. We seem to have a tendency of worshiping white skin. People at home are working hard for the development of the country, but nobody cares. As soon as anyone comes from foreign country with a nondescreipt award we carry them on our shoulders.

All politicians are corrupt. That is the essence of politics, whether in China or India or the US for that matter. To single out India as an impossible country is just one-sided. Having seen China, and having a close circle of friends that have lived in China for all but a few years of their lives, I can say that China might be even more corrupt than India, its just that any writer who wishes to publish aganst such corruption is jailed or censored.I have full confidence that India's dedication to its inward-looking strategy and the service sector will do wonders for not only its economy, but its society as well, whereas manufacturing and foreign investment will always keep China severely dependent on the world market and force Chinese citizens to live in much more poverty and bad distribution of wealth, not to mention teh fact that China's culture has eroded to such an extent that it is hard for me to differentiate often times between Western and Chinese modern culture.
