Hello, I and many of my friends and family-friends are delighted at the recent overtures between Pakistan and Israel. Although it is true that many Jews who remained in Pakistan have emigrated out of the country or converted to B'haism(especially in Karachi). There is still a sizeable community here which is greater than what is being reported in the Pakistani and curiously the international media. In recent years(since the early 80's) the Jewish population has been increasing with new influxes from Iran and Central Asia(Uzbekistan) as well as the return of many families who had previously left to India. They have been accepted into Karachi and even Lahore by everyone as they have historically remained neutral in the ethnic tensions between the Muhajir and native Pakistanis(Sindhi, Panjabi and Pushtuns) and as thus are considered a swing vote in local politics. I have also heard of small settlements of Iranian/Afghan Jews now established in Peshawer, Islamabad and Quetta. I strongly believe that there presence is necessary here in Pakistan so that we learn to treat them as our own, re-establish their links to the land and intern learn a thing or two about peaceful coexistance

This is a stupid UPA govt that is paying heavy price. we want to have a cordial relationship with israel to counter the terriosm. this govtment is paying into the hands of pakistan. let a primeminister come out from the clutches and initiate the further meetings with Israel
Israel could be an important ally for India. We should not let harvest this relationship between Israel and Pakistan. We and Israel share same mindsets on the grounds of terrorism and technology. India should do something like "Public Display of Affection" for Israel.
Should India-Israeli honeymoon come to an end, it would be only India, only India and its Congress party which would be the sole cause for its demise. That would be the greatest tragedy in the history of India. The Congress party which is quite an expert in building death monuments should construct one for Indo-Israeli relationship at the entrance to the South Block where its foreign service is housed. Ceremoniously the Nehru-Gandhi dynasty which visits the varioud samadhis (monuments) in Delhi throughout the year, would be conspicuous by their absence at this particular samadhi as it would be deemed anti-secular.
Hindu-Jewish friendship thrived in this nation from times immemorial when the Congress party was not there, it would continue to thrive in spite of Congress and other anti-Hindu forces.
Only when the Congress and other anti-Hindu forces die in this country, will our friendship with Israel will blossom. Until then Shalom dear Israeli friends!
Israelis are such brilliant people that they can never be fooled by a thousand Musharaffs put-together. Similarly Indian diplomatic service is so naive that it can be taken for a ride by even Musharaff's shadow. For a non-Indian, it is difficult to understand the deafening Indian silence on Israeli vacation of Gaza strip while even the Islamic world (pakistan) appreciates it. As an Indian I can understand the reason for the same: The Congress party in the Indian govt thinks it would antagonise Muslim votes should it utter a solitary positive word in support of Israel. The Congress party breathes and lives pursuing the ghetoised Muslim votes. For the Congress party, national interest is the last thing -- the primary interest being chasing chimera of Muslim votes. The manner in which it hounded out India's greatest patriot -- Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose -- hand-in-glove with the KGB speaks volumes of this anti-national organization hijacked by brown colonialist jihadis wearing secular (pro-Islam, anti-Hindu) garb. India with the present set of rulers is a untrustworthy friend. Israel's interests would be better served if it pursues its foreign policy san India.
It is strange on the part of India not to creat and maintain an extra ordinary relation with Israel. I had read in distant past that India was reluctant to openly establish relation with Israel. The apperant reason was not to make muslim countries unhappy. India has always failed in choosing friends and also foe and maintaining it properly.If pakistan is able to accelerate the tie with Israel, it would be at the cost of India.
Three words, i.e. Vote bank politics, thats all. That is all that is necessary to guide and provide drive to any action of UPA, especially Congress. Every action, if you really dissect it, of the UPA government since its formation can be assigned due to vote-bank politics. Why do you think, instead of strengthening anti-terrorism laws, the UPA govt. scrapped the PoTA law? Why do you think they are continuing pandering to Pakistan's smoke and mirrors peace process despite no head way being made to control the tap of jihadi infiltration combined with full support of ISI to anti-India elements? Why do you think the first major trip of the MEA ministry was to Arab countries? And this is why I think the UPA government deserves to be removed, cause all they do is vote-bank politics to their benefit but causing major harm to India's security and economic concerns in the strategic as well as tactical sense. I'm so disappointed by the present government, I cannot say it in words...
