If this is becoming such a big issue, why not suggest Sania to wear shorts as it is seen in Men Tennis. This might reduce criticism. Though I do not know Islam, what it permits and what it does not , I think this is quite feasibe.
Mr shenoy,I know u wanted to support her career,im with you,but to criticize the maulvi very openly in the media shows your anger against the religion and community,if men on tennis court could dress up sensibly and yet shines every way,do you think that the sensible way of dressing impedes their chances of winning, you might have seen men wearing full t shirts and below the knees bermuda shorts, are they not flexible and free during the game, have you not seen them winning the game.Your comments is just to target the maulvi who made the right comments becoz she is a muslim, otherwise he wouldnt have bothered if she belonged to other religion.dont try to project that your comment is logical and innocent before the public.
Why should Shenoy worry what is deep down Sanias heart? His argument lacks logic. To quote her saying what she did and then justify the maulvis remarks on her reflects his stupidity. Do not encourage such writers on your site.
i think this the stupidest thing ever the person is trying real hard to earn a name for herself and the nation too...even in that people are trying to make her feel bad....instead of supporting ehr they are saying she is doing something wrong.
This is a topic to discuss in India. I feel we must have a broader eyes to really comment on this. All the religions are teaching us to live a fruitful/meaningful life. All these codes are the transformations of the original idealogies I guess. With changed times, one shouldn't be riding on to the others own conscience. Then the religion might not be serving its basic purpose when it is opposing the positive results !!!
Sania herself has got a task for her life, a way to live her life. We in a matured society should give her a chance to be successful and concentrate more on her goals than on the other silly issues which really are the issues for nothing than mediocracy.
I just want to make a note to Mr Maulvi that the dirtyness is never in the clothes but always in the mind of the person who sees it in that way. As for as the sport is concerned , it should be beyond all the religion and foolishness of the human mind and Sania must decide, to which clothes she can play her game better. Already we have seen the killing of so many innocent people in the name of religion. Religion is never concerned about the clothes.. It is always concerned with the purity of mind and heart.
I totally agree with the article .Sania Mirza should wear dress in which she can play her game if shorts make here feel comfortable than its fine .I think this issue is simply raised by the media unproportionately which made the muslim community to put their heads into this matter .As there were no comments on this before.Media also should not raise such issue as this may affect her play but i realy appriciate her as she is daring and will also continue play in the sunfeast open in kolkotta .I hope she does well in te future too.
