Pakistan seems to be the greatest of rogue countries . It doesn't have the monetory strength and hence to attract the terror fund, it produced Islamic bomb!. It names its missiles like Gori, Babar & Gazani ....
The issue is Can Pakistan survive as a nation itself without India's help? Even if US helps Pakistan with Dollars can it really survive without India as a friend. I think India has to wait for 5 or 6 years it is possible that there will be no Pakistan itself.
The opinions expressed seem to be certainly in the right direction thiugh we can not comment about the honesty involved. Also the opinion that the sooner the better is absolutely right. It is in the best interests of both the countries. Its truly dosappointing to see comments to this article suggesting about the dictators in Pakistan and also selfboasting about India. C'mom guys.. grow up and think large what we have lost in the past so many years is by no means less and yuo must be thinking out of your heads if you feel that India and Pakistan will go to a full scale war again. That will never happen. The best way for both the sides is to resolve amicably, what ever that means... Long Live the friendship...........
The central issue for Pakistan is the legitimacy of its crown jewels. While institutional safeguards are perceived to be good, the same can not be said of societal safeguards in terms of political stability, legal infrastructure, economic independence, elective process for decision-makers etc. The perception of threats reveal appears more as a ploy than genuine. ABV's stand of 'strong and prosperous Pakistan' has been endorsed by present dispensation. Yet the perception of Indian threat dominates, seeking deterrence continues, terror continues, and now there are separate terms for Afghan and Indian borders as well.
acceptable solution to both india and pak , sounds great to hear but an hardcore islamic country fuelling the terrorrism in entire world, will accept the reality, with a country like pak with no ideals, values, no respect for themselves always living under one foolish dictator no acceptable solutionc an be made , it mere waste of time to have talks with them.
Khurshid, well aware that his boss is a bad fellow and also that he the boss is a bed-fellow of the Neanderthaal, must know that it is the inherent strength of a nation that is recognized at the international level.
Talking big and walking tall is foolish and laughed at.
Naa-paak is today being laughed at, even by some of the muslim countries, whereas Bharat Varsh is on the threshold of the UN security council, perhaps with a veto.
And Khurshid, no leader of Bharat Varsh talks the language that you do.
Apropos dictating to Pakistan - the country does not need other countries to dictate to it, when it has so many of them, Ayub Khan, Zia-ul-Haq, Parvez Musharaff, ... and so on. When you have enough of them at home, why invite outsiders?
