Uttam Ghosh and rediff .. this carton is nothing else but deplorable. Imagine ppl from other countries doing the same thing at the mumbai floods..it is terrible that Rediff should even post this on their website. Utterly disgusting!
I don't think Uttam's cartoons carry any meaning at all!! What is he trying to say in this cartoon? That there was a hurricane in New Orleans? Wow what an insight!
Could you please remove this cartoon ASAP! I think drawing a cartoon on this subject goes on to show that we have something inherently wrong with the way we think. People are dying on one side and we are drawing cartoons.
The Katrina Crisis has clearly shown the casteist apathy that a few white leaders have towards the ignorant , downtrodden and colored people of the USA.

Here in India we atleast pretend to protect the legitimacy of the rights of the dalits by job reservations.
It is not funny as thousands of black & poor people are left to their fate to die in the 'GREAT' United States of America , which boasts of best systems in place. This is a typical case of Human Rights Violation of the highest order and President Bush should be prosecuted for the lapses.
