Being a Court Stenographer in one of the Sub-Divisional Courts in West Bengal, I am well aware of the fact that the Stenographers attached to judiciary are taking much more pain than that of their counterparts in other Govt.departments,whereupon Hon'ble Justice Sheety recommended for enhancement of remuneration of Court-Stenographers. But despite repeated reminders, those recommendations have not yet been implemented in West Bengal. May be financial stringencies is restraining the government from implementation. But the Govt.of West Bengal should at least accept the same in principle,taking into consideration the heavy workload of Court-Stenographers.
