Why, why does the government make the same mistake again and again. Unke bap ka paisa hain (Is the money their pops). Rs. 1 Lakh to keen of every one dead. Every one dead away their, how many months that money is going to last, 3 months or at the max 4 months in place like Delhi. What after that? When a situation like this comes, why doesnt the government try to provide some kind of permanent solution like jobs?
When some farmers in AP committed suicide in AP, the government went and distributed crores and crores of money. Instead that money could have been used to build a permanent solution of huge pipelines to that village. Where ever the people died, more then half of them were drunkards, with four children or more.
That money could have been used to educate the farmers with solutions at famine times. Every year the government spends billions of rupees for flood and draught relief. With properly designed infrastructure every flood and draught situation could be evaded. More than 50% of the relief money goes into the pockets of ministers and government officials.
The government could have set up some kind of Emergency Management Association (Like FEMA in USA), but no. Same Mistake?
