The killing of innocents due to terrorist attacks are a recurrent feature all over the world. And here in lies the sarcasm. People who have absolutely nothing to do with fundamentalist (so called)ideas and ideologies, are the people who suffer the most. People who have been fatally wounded in incidents like Varanasi, Mumbai, Delhi, Afganisthan, UK, Bali etc might not even had heard the names of the organisations responsible for these attacks. After all we would have to remember one thing: any ideology, be it for any purpose, cannot not be ever driven through violence.
I would like to know what do you mean by Sikh Terrorists. Go home, open the books and read about books and then only and only then dare to blame whole SIKH community like this. What Sikhs has given to Indian is not forgetable and can't be paid. And if any kind of trouble come to India now, Sikhs would be the first to stand in line with their swords and first to die for their motherland India. Even the Premier Person of India is a Sikh Mr. Raman. If I talk or write to someone, I would never refer any community as Terrorists. LIke Hindu Terrorists, Christians Terrorists. Terrorists are terrorists, they have no religions, no class, no faith, doesn't matter what religion a terrorists belong to. Once, anyone of any religion carry the guns to kill innocents, they are terrorists. They are not the part of community of religion. I hope you act smarter in your next articles.

Im glad to hear you say these words. A terrist has no religion or country . They are mercenaries. I hope muslims are also included in this , all muslims or a country should not be pointed at . These are psychos , plain simple murderors who need to be caught and hanged for their heinous crimes.
When 9/11 happenned, US targetted Afghanistan. When Israel is targetted, the country reacts with overwhelming force to create a fear in the minds of terrorists. When UK is attacked, they have immediately reviewed their anti-terror policy and gave new powers to police and had a new law for countering terrorism. Today, Australia received intelligence reports of terrorist threat, it is thinking of new anti-terror laws immediately. This is the way in which a country which really respects its citizens' lives reacts. Unfortunately, the eunuchs in Indian govt do nothing except give the same hackneyed reactions like 'we should not bow down to terror'. This reaction is just as if the bombings happened in another country and we are giving our opinion on it. Shameless, spineless govt. I am ashamed !!!
Diplomacy and war are supposed to be in the same continuum, and so it appears are intelligence and terror. If we go by newspaper reports, it appears that ISI is a de-facto subsidiary of CIA while Al Quaida is its breakaway grouping. CIA is also engaged in the subtle and very sophisticated art of information management to engulf high offices.
These entities, all three of them have been operating with impunity, bypassing their own domestic laws, infiltrating almost every other institution, economic, governmental, religious, charity groups, sciences and arts delegations. The same ofcourse was true of KGB in Soviet era, and probably is true of many other agencies at present. Such setups have been the prime movers of terror infested era we are witnessing nowadays.
The analysis of intelligence experts like Raman, may be useful as counter-intelligence literature, but can not be expected to address these underlying issues.
Mr. Raman has given excellent summary on Delhi Blasts. And in parallel, the debate on abolition of Death Penalty is going the rounds - may be - unwittingly. The time does not seem to be ripe. The reality check speaks otherwise. The terrorist menace in India is amongst the highest - much more than the European countries may be due to international conspiracies of which we have yet to learn facts. Our law is well defined on this count. So is the case of organised crime - be it the mafia, terrorism or for that matter, Naxalism in several parts of the country. Why hurry? Shouldnt we wait for a few decades more as we have been doing so for the real democracy of many other fields dependence on economic reforms, nuclear race et all. Vinod Tuli
