Quake could be significant: US
by Susheel Jalali on Oct 24, 2005 11:28 AM  Permalink

That is a platitudinous remark.

They are condemning terrorism in such times, but still fail to appreciate the point that it is the West's irrational and lop-sided support to these terrorists and to the illegal occupation of PoK by Pakistan that has encouraged and promoted these terrorists all along. If India's complaints to UN had been properly addressed and India's rightful claims redressed, J&K would be whole and sole part of India, and so many lives could have been saved and relief'ed in a much more effective way; and development could have reached more parts of J&K more meaningfully, which would be the best and only sure way of curbing terrorism in that region.

Pakistan dug the terrorist trap for India but has itself fallen into that trap with rampant gun-culture and to the discerning eye, this quake could be Allah's
punishment for illegally and unrightfully using His name for terrorism. If only these Islamists could be convinced even now of their folly - by the trues Islamics.

This earthquake has caused devastation to J&K and NWFP.Partition of India has made relief efforts difficult. For sake of humanity,relief/reconstruction requires both countries to realize that if this earthquake can cause such a damage--then how about Nuclear weapons!!!So please ,disown the terrorists/militants/extremists and do not let them derail the reconstruction of many whose lives have been devastated.Gandhiji knew what was good for Indian subcontinent.
Suggest that readers should read,Russell Seitz article in Wall Street Journal,Oct.12,2005--A World Turned upside down and Perez Hoodbhoy article in Wall Street Journal(10/19/2005),where he says that Foreign Funds for Dec.25,1974 earthquake in Pakistan was diverted from people to Nuclear arms development by Bhutto.Perez is a Nuclear Science Professor in Islamabad--Duaid-e-Azam Univ.
