i really appreciate this step. but india should not decline the negetive posibilites of it. The ratio of insurgents should be monitored.
its the stage were pakistans militant camps are severly damaged and the communication broken. it should not be that they start communicating and re-establish there contacts as the mobile operators are asked to enable there services in these areas. No wonder now whats next store from millitants by entering with these people.
It is immposible for pakistan to have this step for right move as prooved by their past record study.
The step is appreciated but its important of our governments to understand that we have many things to loose and they dont even have one.
While this move will portray India in good faith, think of the repurcussions. In the near future in any natural calamity in India, Pak may offer us hand which we would not be in a position to refuse. And we all know what letting Pakistanis in would mean. There is no way we would know whether the persons from the other side are peace loving Pakis or the jihad-madrasa subscribers.
Pakistan's concern is the approaching winter. There is no wat it can arrange shelter for all PoK Kashmiris before the fast approaching winter. It will be catastrophic. Perhaps worse than the earthquake itself. Opening the LOC will ensure that half of those caualties will happen on Indian administered side.
This is tricky for the Indian government. They can remain ill-prepared, mismanage the whole thing and let many people die and own the blame for it. Or they can grab the opportunity to help thousands of people and be well prepared for it and save so many lives.
Preparedness and the will to defeat this calamity is the key.
Please, please do not the miss the bus this time, you politicians.we have already missed the opportunity, we could have been united on 9th October itself. people, related to each other are dead on each side of boarder. please allow them to go across.........
Yes indeed! I am so happy that rediff.com is happy about the opening of the LOC. Could we expect legitimate crossing over of terrorists to Kashmir. And I am sure rediff.com reporters will be there to garland them!
Respected readers, We are all human beings and it is very satisfing that the president has put his first foot forward. We must take the next step. It is the politicians who are responsible to creat caste differecnce for personal gains .Let us not alow the vested politicians to take us for a ride. Peter
