hi i belong to Pakistan. i think Pakistan was'nt in a position of war with india in 1965 but that was India who prompted at war. we hav'nt such technology as mentioned in the site. we had the aircrafts that was'nt able to help in war. and we made our defence possible by making our lives in dangour infact we want Shahdat in this way. and in Islam there is nothing about the initialization of war but only defence. but it is clear in our minda that there will be a strong reply of any action. as far as the winning of indian Army concern it is far away from them in the presence of our brave Army. we want peace in area not the uncetainity. in the war of 1965 we have the aircrafts only which were left in deserts or in the disorderd form but that were our emotions which dominated in war.
Hi, Instead of saying whether the air force is superior or the ground force we should not forget ultimately the troops on the ground do the real hard work.

It seems to me that you are living in the present and not worried about what your past has taught you so that you can be better prepared for the future. You have directed a careless comment to a person who is experienced in his field. Lessons learnt from war are meant for the future generations to be aware of, war exercises are meant to be on paper and simulates the scenario but its not like the real war. Its like you taking cricket batting practise but still the tension and the mistakes you do when you play the real match will teach you a lot for the future matches. Please dont ridicule the author and second i suggest you must learn from your past.

Hari : The only thing worse that nostalgia is amnesia... let\\\'s not forget our heroes. For if we lose them, we shall be left with just the cowards.
Indian intelligence is and has been non-existent - Pakistan's ability to breach the LOC in Kashmir with total impunity showed this and Kargil has once again proved that even more vividly. But it's the stupidity and incompetence of the army leaders that is mind-boggling. That their actions were not coordinated with the air force shows thier arrogance and disdain for the other braches of the armed forced, especially thier ignorance of modern system of integrated warfare for which India paid a heavy price, not to mention the grave danger to the country due to a dithering govt's reticence at acquiring adequate modern defense hardware. Hope someone in Delhi learned some lessons, but I seriously doubt it - remember Kargil anyone?
