Quake has strengthened jehad
by Deepa on Dec 09, 2005 09:44 PM  Permalink

The article is very interesting.

I could care less what you call these people - jehadi outfits or terrorists. For me they are all the same. In fact I think its high time these jehadis/terorrists used their unending resources to good use. They have killed enough innocent people. If they are helping their own, for whom supposedly, they are fighting the 'holy war', then why are we glorifying this and giving them publicity?

In fact for all you know, this could be a hidden agenda for the Pak Govt and these outfits. They will conveniently adopt all the quake hit orphans and train them in their military camps and we have a whole new generation of terrorists! And the Pak Govt takes a step back and watches the fun ... it says" well... they did what we were unable to do.. so if people have become more loyal to these terrorists, that is not something the Govt is responsible for".

All I can say is, India ( and many other countries) was affected by the tsunami, the Latur earthquake , floods and draught each year. but that does not make us want to take to terrorism. How is it that these people, affected by an earthquake say they have no option but to side the jehadis and join them?

Jehad/Terrorism vs Quake
by bala on Nov 17, 2005 04:10 AM  Permalink

What ever you followers of Allah call it, I really don't care.

(for me
1.there is only one god what ever name we call it.
2.only one caste,caste of humanity
3.only one religion that is religion of love)

..they are messing up in india and killing Innocent civilians and my dear armed forces.

That is the big problem for me. so If LeT wants to help quake affected people just because they are muslims and kill people in kashmir because they are accepting their demands, I don't accept that...The law of karma will take care of them.

days are not far when india and pak become friends and this enemities of humanity will be on the run. at that time, they will be hit severely.

True Mujahid!
by Fazal on Oct 24, 2005 06:40 PM  Permalink

A true mujahid is one who is pious, never takes innocent lives, never afraid of any one expect Allah, always repents for his deeds, and moreover no one is harm from his deeds.

But today, the word Majahid is use to describe those who don't have above mention qualities. I ask all to first read Holy-Quran to know what it has to say about all this, since Quran is the only source from wheir all these Mujahid's get spiritual energy.

Don't call terrorism as Jehad.
by Javed Akhter on Oct 17, 2005 11:09 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The article is quite good and informative. But, calling Terrorist outfits as Jehadi outfits is inappropriate. And I register here my serious opposition to calling Terrorism as Jehad, which is a holy word of Islam.

quake has strengthened jehad
by jaldeep dave on Oct 16, 2005 07:52 PM  Permalink

it could be so that jehadees would have been working more effectively in the relief activity. Is it so in Muzaffarnaga or through out the country. Govt does have it own organisational set-up and has to work within the same while jehadees make rules of their own.But relief activity is for short period in the next phase, relief and rehabilitation-reconstruction activity will be taken up at that time Govt. will prove better like in other countries

Has it??
by Shyam on Oct 16, 2005 02:58 PM  Permalink

Has the quake strengthened "jehad"???? Or has it strengthened the belief that it is not the govt of Pakistan that people in POK can look upto for relief!!

Tremors

This is not time to hurt the feelings of suffering people by galvanising the events and classifying the relief efforts to groups.
It is natural trgedy and the comments shoulg be purely humanitarian.

Misleadin Headings by Rediff
by ajay kumar on Oct 15, 2005 10:24 PM  Permalink

I like your coverage of the quake news, but am disappointed at the misleading sub-headings e.g.
"Musharraf Please leave ". Not even a word has been mentioned in the lines which follow this sub-heading.

I observed such athing in your earlier coverage too.

Would you like to correct yourself in future news ?

ajay
