I think pakistan's president Musharraf is telling lie, that more that 30000 people has been killed and 42000 injured in current attack of quake. As he has a very bad history of telling lie to get more DOLLARS from US.
This time also he is planning to earn more DOLLAR from UN by increasing fake number of death. I would request to UN to have a look at this point also before providing any aid to pakistan.
It is most saddening to know about the devastating earthquake in Pakistan,Indian states of Jammu and Kashmir,UP etc., The human loss is unimaginable. Can't modern science predict occurence of earthquakes in advance? Last year it was Tsunami and now it is deadly earthquake.In this hour of grief, I pray the almighty to give strength to face the situation to the survivors and may the departed souls rest in peace.Rich countries and individuals need to contribute liberally to alleviate the situation in the earthquake ridden Pakistan.
May lord bless the region with peace and prosperity very soon. Rescue and relief efforts are not just the assigned responsibility of goverments but also moral needed response of people saved by lord. This is time to demonstrate to world that people of indian and pak are always united irrespective of goverments' political differences.
Yesterday, when I opened my Rediffmail, I was shocked and stunned by the very first of the Headlines, which reported the horrifying Earthquake. I didnt even feel like going to my in-box. Now reading more and more of that horrendous disaster that Nature has wrought upon humanity I became benumbed for a while. I could neither think nor utter a word. Such was the spontaneous and emotional reaction. Does Nature discriminate manmade boundaries and nations? Silently and with body and soul I surrender to the Lord with this Prayer We mortals, all your own children, in our times of our ego-filled glory, are apt to forget that You are the sustaining force for our lives, on this Earth and there after. We are apt to forget that our very existence is a miracle and all the so-called man-made wonders are ephemeral toys that You have allowed us to play with during our brief stay. But, come misery and misfortune, calamity and catastrophe, we turn to you for succor. Now, like all other weak and helpless mortals, I can only keep turning to you and am submitting This Prayer for forgiveness and mitigation of our sufferings. Amen
Sir, Earthquake in Pakisthan and J&K in India is great disaster. The rescue and rehabilation needs univesal assistance both in specialist manpower in rescue, medical basic needs like water &sanitation, food ,temporary shelters and high tech equipments ang huge financial assistance for longer period.
This requires large assistance from all neibhouring countries pertquuiailarly from devloped countries.
