It is good to see the judgement that girls above the age of 15 can marry. I dont like the government to curb on these issues. As once the girl or a boy reaches the age of puberty they should be allow to do so. As this could restrict the pre marital sex which is becoming common among the childrens. This should be taken in mind that When GOD has given you a nod that child you are not a child now I have made you the man/woman then who the hell these man made laws to stop. Forget about the drinking or voting that is the man made subjects which can had man made laws. but the marriage is the case of natural desire and allowance from god to human kind. I feel this rulling from the court must be followed in the whole world.
girls are allowed to marry at 15. the court is a body of intellectual people and its order should be respected but we can critique it being a part of an active democracy.
what is the target of this order. its clear that the order had not been given taking into consideration the whole woman population of the country or even a particular state. It is of utmost importance to understand whom is this order going to affect or who are those women who suffered earlier because of the legal marraige age as 18.
To me, it is just the poverty stricken families who would like to marry off their daughters or those girls who are supposedly in love and would like to marry their love matter. One cannot see a court giving order on the basis on love for justice seeks no love. So, it is very much evident that the law is targeted towards poverty stricken, lower middle class to below poverty-line citizens of India.
Ironically, though the court order seems to be aimed at increasing freedom of girls, it will actually restrict their freedom.
To get married at the age of 15 should be completely illegal bcs if they are going to marry at 15 then India is already facing the population problem by this it will be very tough so its important to put totally ban on that
this judgement of the delhi high court is not in consonance with justice, equity and good conscience.among muslims puberty is the age of marriage but not in other communities. minors need to be protected such a judgement can lead to elopement of minors and teenage pregnancy.
Anything can happen in India!! Infant mortality and famale infanticide notwithstanding, dowry deaths not withstanding, rape notwithstanding ... and now this. Doesn't the law understand that it is easy for the vultures in the society to get "willingness" out of a fifteen year old girl? I shudder to think the implications of this onto the girl-selling scams in which the innocent girls from poor families in Hyderabad and nearby ciries are sold off to Arabs!! The conniving middle-men and the irresponsible parents would obviously go scot free in such cases. How tragic!!
Minor girls should not marry. At the age of 15/16, a human may not get much ideas about life. They may not select right life partner . They may not have much knowledge abt married life.
They may or may not get any problems physically. But see their age. Its just 15/16. How much they can handle the house?
If they get children in 16th,18th age...
1. Will they complete their studies? 2. Their life starts running here and there. Taking care of children. Can they really take care of children ? 3. Some times they see the same age girls having no responsibilites. And may scold their life.
This all affects on their CHILDREN/ Next Generation.
I think instead of 18, it should be made as 20. So that girls also can select right life partner.
