justice delayed
by swati on Oct 07, 2005 03:58 PM  Permalink

coming nearly 8 months after the dissolution of the Bihar Assembly the verdict is too late to restore the Bihar Assembly. It is important that in all this we dont miss the lesson and set this as a precedent to ensure that assemblies are not dissolved just to prevent formation of opposition govts. in fact it would have improved congress' image substantially had it allowed such a govt to form, as this govt was bound to fall under the burden of coalition

dissolution of Bihar assembly-Apex court's judgement.
by raj on Oct 07, 2005 03:22 PM  Permalink

The Apex court's judgement delivered today is self explanatory and needs no comments. It's an eye opener as regards functioning of UPA is concerned.Who appers to have masterminded the whole episode,is not difficult to understand and UPA has to dance to his tunes to continue at the centre. It also amounts to misguiding the HON'BLE President,by way of getting his approval at the midnight. Now the wisest step that is expected from the govt.is for the P.M.to resign taking the moral responsibility.Silence being maintained by some big guns of congress is not difficult to understand.President may also act now as he thinks proper.

verdict of SC
by Shreesh Onkar on Oct 07, 2005 03:08 PM  Permalink

This should serve as a warning to the policies of the UPA and particularly the Congress. It is the time
tha the governer Butasingh is recalled, who acted in a partisan manner. The prime minister Mr. Manmohan Singh
should take the moral responsibility and must immediately resign.Mr Laalu Yaadav should also be sacked from the ministry.

views on Bihar assembly dissolution
by Naveen Khanna on Oct 07, 2005 02:51 PM  Permalink

SC has given the its verdict stating it illegal.Never the less govt. will state it as demand of time, but at the same time it should remember that to avoid one wrong thing you cannotdo some thing more wrong. This is alarming time in just one week two decision from govt. being prooved wrong. One in Allahabad High Court about AMU and other from Supreme Court. It clearly says that atleast govt. should be justifed not favoring sides on religon, party etc.

Electoral Process
by Shailesh Nath Pathak on Oct 07, 2005 02:33 PM  Permalink

In Constitution, there must be the clause related to the order passed by The Supreme Court with reference to dissolve the Bihar Assembly unconstitutionaly. The restorance of Govt. should be made in the Clause of the Constitution of India so that the Judiciary can make the Order of restoration of Govt.in the Assembly, if there is any uncostitutional act taken by the Governor, Prime Minister whosoever it is.

SC verdict
by RAJU RAINA on Oct 07, 2005 01:49 PM  Permalink

The supreme court verdict has come, all parties are saying the verdict is in their favour. Can anyone tell why people of this country should suffer because of the wrong decisions taken by some individuals to favour them and their partners. The election process is in progress, by centeral government and bihar governers decision. How much money will go into these elections and who is going to foot the bill of this (common man of this country. The elections will mean extra taxes and common man has to foot the bill. One assuarance which congress (UPA) gave to electorate that its with common man. Its evident when it comes to prices which have more than doubled for food items and prices of other essential commodities rising day by day. I think for them people should live on their assurances and air, because everything else is becoming out of reach of coomon man. Why shouldn't Mr. Buta Singh and the Cabinet Which approved decision to dissolve the assembely be held responsible and punished for the losses to country and burden on common man. there should be a no appointment from any political parties for Governers post, Vice President and President post.
