America should have realised by now that India is not a minnow any more. We have show them our prowess in developing PARAM and then the Cryogenic Engines and now as a IT Power.
And it will not take much time for Indians to develop the required technology for the fuels for our nuclear establishments. Its just a matter of time. While this togetherness is important with America for strategic reasons, we should not forget that we are no beggars and that we are equal providers. Lets be proud that India this year has provided around 35 million dollars in assistance around the world.
We have the ability to swing the world in our favour and sooner than later India will too become a permanent and unquestioned member in the security council.
I would like the Indian leaders to continue their prodding at strategic forums but at the same time, let them not run around the leaders as if we are at their mercy. Lets take independent decisions.
Lets stop taking and lets start giving and be independent in our decisions and that too in favour of our country and our people.
Yes in my view we 'll not sign NPT As it is a doctrine of some High-Nuclear-Power Club.It does'nt well take into a/c the interest of all nations ,their security concerns as well as the Late-State-of-the-art Developments in Nuclear Technique being given the new shape. Suman Sibal M.Tech
I was amused by the observation'experiments with the democracy'.What experiments? We hve been a fullfledged democracy since independence. So much so that even donkeys get elected if the people decide.Full democracy.Better than USA. 2 Indian Parliament has not so far endorsed the nuke deal.Just for some fuel for one reactor (Tarapore) we are selling our neuclear freedom.
