India-US-Iran Tangle
by Wg Cdr Ravindra Parasnis on Nov 18, 2005 03:32 PM  Permalink

Dear Editor Sir,
I am in agreement with the author. We need to learn to argue from the position of strength. We have been squandering our advantages for far too long.
Yours sincerely,
Ravindra Parasnis

Aryan Vedic Religion
by Karna Singh on Oct 11, 2005 08:20 PM  Permalink

Dear Rajeev,

It would be very helpful and informative for all readers and especially those who feel proud of being Indian if you write an article detailing the common Aryan ancestry of all the Aryan or Indo-European tribes, and how all the Aryans from India to Europe had the same culture religion and way of life. I feel this information would definitely make people who are ignorant of their own history and who feel themselves to be inferior to have pride in their glorious history. It would also reveal to them the glory of our country which is the last stronghold of the Great Aryan Culture...

SPINELESS ATTITUDE
by Hanif Mohammed on Oct 10, 2005 02:47 PM  Permalink

I agree with Rajeev\'s view point 100%. The least India could have done is to abstain from voting on Iran, like Russia and China did. Not that these countries love Iran, but intention is to antagonise US. India is under rating itself in world platform, and not flexing its muscle. How can we become a superpower, if we take such spineless attitude !! Our negotiations should be a trade off and equally balanced, and not support US\'s selfish motives. We are a big nation, but we are shy - why ?? We should get tough and get what we wanted. As the saying goes \'NO GUTS NO GLORY\' - Grow-up INDIA !!

India did the right thing in voting
by Shyamal on Oct 06, 2005 02:06 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

India did the right thing by referring Iran to UN.

Realise the fact, india is struggling for its energy crisis. The situation is becoming worse and worse in all states and the reality is country is not equipped to generate more power. In states like Maharashtra four hours load shedding every day was a routine thing in summer. The government has done the right thing to act now rather than just drifting in anti US sentiments.

Grammatical errors? Perhaps you could point some out?

Very well said.

The article is well written for most parts. There should have been some amount of proof reading involved before publishing though. Lots of gramatical errors. This is an article written totally based on excessive adrenalin created from too much patriotism. The prime minister and president of India are not school drop outs. They know the situation and they know how to handle things. They have advisors, that are some of the smartest brains in the country.

standing up to america
by brian on Oct 05, 2005 04:33 PM  Permalink

respected sir,

I have heard that India will become a super power in future for many years. But this is just a wishful thinking created by the media and selected people who are doing well financially. Looking at pitible condition of the general public who live in the villages and in the slums i am doubtful. With basic ammenities like drinking water lacking , basic medical facilities absent, lack of education i dont see our country progressing much in future. we are regressing and not progressing

thanking you

Yours sincerely

Brian
